Verizon has just announced via Twitter that the Moto X will be landing online on August 29th. It will in Verizon Wireless retail stores in the coming weeks. The Moto X will retail for $199.99 with a 2-year contract.

You can see the tweet above. As you know August 29th is this Thursday and this has been the rumored launch date. The Moto X is coming to Verizon and that means you get Verizon 4G LTE. You will have access to their insanely fast 4G LTE network. They have not said if Moto Maker will be available on the 29th of August, we have reached out for comment and will update if we hear back. We have just heard from Albert Aydin on the Verizon Team and MotoMaker will be available later this year. You will have your choice of either Woven Black or Woven White. You get the great Touchless Control “OK Google Now” feature as well as Quick Capture. The simple flick of the wrist with your phone in your hand to launch the camera application.
