You may know Jake Clemons from the E Street Band or as the late Clarence Clemons’s nephew, but get ready to know Jake Clemons just by his name. He has been on tour with Springsteen for Wrecking Ball for the last 2 years and was easily one of the stars on stage, but now during this break he is focusing on his own work. He has already completed a Fall Tour with his band and debut EP is dropping on December 3rd, 2013. His EP features five songs and he had dropped his first single, “You Must Be Crazy”. And yes he does show off his saxophone skills throughout the album, as well as guitar and many other instruments. Featured on the album and in the band as well are Brett Mayer, Matt Musty, Jason Crowgey, Ryan Gleason, Jake Hull, and Michael Westbrook. He has tour dates set over seas in the coming months, but in January he heads back on tour with The Boss for a few shows. This week he is in Minneapolis and Chicago with Garland Jeffreys, but earlier he did six opening sets throughout the Midwest for Robert Randolph & The Family Band. Rest assured Embracing Light will be a sweet album that will show his true love and dedication to music as a solo artist. Our full review of Embracing Light will be coming soon and so is an interview with the man himself, Jake Clemons!
