Ridesharing has been a thing for quite some time - from Lyft, over in California, to Uber. Now, we have a new player in this game and that is Bandwagon. Bandwagon lets you get to where you need to go without ripping you off and at the same time still quickly. It connects people together and then allows you to share a ride. So let’s say you’re going to an airport. If another person needs a ride and they are on your route, Bandwagon will pick them up along the way. After all, you’re both going to the same destination and it doesn’t add in extra travel time.
Bandwagon is one of 5 companies selected by Verizon’s Powerful Answers campaign in the sustainability category. At the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show, Verizon will be awarding Bandwagon with a monetary prize, as well as recognizing them for their innovative solutions.
Bandwagon is growing, based out of Brooklyn, NY, and has very bright future as a start-up. They currently are in beta and are operational in NYC, but are looking to expand the service.
