Virgin Mobile Will Get The Galaxy S5!

In the past Virgin Mobile has not gotten the latest flagship devices, they have usually been a few flagships behind. For instance last year the carrier got the Galaxy S III or a similar device. Virgin Mobile is throwing us for a loop and it is a good one, it is something that their customers have been asking for. “The Next Big Thing” from Samsung is coming to the carrier, yes the Galaxy S5 is going to be on Virgin Mobile. Earlier today the carrier announced the device via their social media accounts on Twitter and Facebook. No word on pricing or availability just yet, but keep in mind they are a no contract carrier.

The Galaxy S5 will begin its launch in April, just a few shorts months away. Throughout the Spring it will be launching on many different US carriers, like AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and now Virgin Mobile. The Galaxy S5 is a 4G LTE device and will be taking advantage of Sprint Spark, their faster LTE service. I am hoping that will be coming to the Virgin Mobile edition as well. The Galaxy S 5 will feature a 16 megapixel back camera, a 5-inch FHD Super AMOLED Display,  2.5GHz Quad core application processor, Android 4.4 Kit Kat with a Samsung user interface, 4G LTE, and more. You can see our hands-on with the device below.
