Bruce Springsteen has been taking a well deserved break, after performing for over two years on the Wrecking Ball and High Hopes tour. Since the tour ended, he has put out a short film on Hunter of Invisible Game and announced a book titled Outlaw Pete. Today, we have an exciting announcement, earlier this year Bruce Springsteen announced that they were working on remastering his work and today we see what they truly meant. Announcing the Brice Springsteen: The Album Collection Vol. 1 1973-1984, a new box set filled which is filled with remasters versions of his first seven records. In the box you will be getting the Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. (1973)*, The Wild, The Innocent and The E Street Shuffle (1973)*, Born To Run (1975), Darkness On The Edge Of Town (1978), The River (1980), Nebraska (1982) and Born In The U.S.A. (1984). Born To Run and Darkness On The Edge Of Town, were remastered prior to this, but for the other five it is their first time being remastered and being put out on CD. The remastering was done directly from the he original analogue masters using the Plangent Process playback system, plus engineers Bob Ludwig and Toby Scott worked on these with Bruce Springsteen. In the box set, you will get the remastered albums, along with recreations of the original packaging, and a 60 page booklet feature press clippings, unseen photos, and much more. Bruce Springsteen: The Album Collection Vol. 1 1973-1984 will be dropping on November 17th 2014 and will be available from Digital Music Services as well as in CD or Vinyl.
