Amazon is adding HBO Now to its Fire tablets today and the app is available from the Amazon App Store. And, HBO Now is of course HBO’s cord cutting option, for $14.99 a month you get access to all of HBO’s content. This includes their series, movies, documentaries, comedy specials, music specials and more. HBO Now originally launched in June and it was exclusive to Apple’s ecosystem.
In the past, HBO and Amazon have had a good relationship and this announcement will likely strengthen it going forward. Amazon offers several Fire TV tablets including the Fire HD 6, Fire HD 7, and the Fire HDX 8.9. All of Amazon’s Fire tablets can be found on www.amazon.com/fire-hd. The HBO Now is available for all of the Fire tablets starting today from the Amazon App Store.
Lastly, HBO Now will eventually be making its way to the Amazon Fire TV and the Amazon Fire TV Stick. While Amazon and HBO have not announced an exact launch date, the app will be added to the streaming devices in the coming weeks.
