Moments after Samsung announced the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, Verizon was quick to confirm that the new galaxy’s would be landing on big red very soon. In fact, Verizon will kick off pre-orders for these devices on February 23rd at 8AM EST. If you pick up the S7 or S7 Edge from Verizon, you will have access to their lighting fast 4G LTE network!
That is right, Verizon has the nation’s 4G LTE network and they have some both of reliability of any carrier. These devices will Advanced Calling HD and WiFi Calling on Verizon as well. The S7 will come in your choice of black onyx and gold platinum, while the S7 Edge will also come in silver titanium. Both the S7 and S7 Edge will come with 32GB of internal storage and can be expanded via a micro SD card slot.
The S7 features a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display, while the S7 Edge has a larger and curved 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display. They are both running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a Samsung user interface and are powered by a Quad-core 2.15GHz + 1.6GHz processor with 4GB of RAM. On the back you will find a Dual Pixel 12 megapixel with IOS cameras on the back and a 5 megapixel front camera. The Galaxy S7 has a 3,000mAh battery and the S7 Edge has a 3,600mAh battery, both will feature an IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.
Verizon will kick off pre-orders for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge on February 23rd 2016 at 8AM EST, with pricing being announced closer to that date.
