The brand new iPad Pro 9.7-inch has officially launched and with that there are now two iPad Pro’s. NJTechReviews has just gotten the new 9.7-inch variant in the 128GB Rose Gold model with Verizon 4G LTE. The device is available in Silver, Space Grey, and Gold, along with a 32GB and 256GB storage capacity. Overall, just from a few hours with the device it certainly performs better then the iPad Air 2 and is ridiculously light.
Right away I noticed the speed of turning on and shutting of the iPad Pro 9.7-inch is lighting fast. Apple clearly did a solid job by including an A9X processor and the 2GB’s of RAM provide more than enough speed boost. This was originally an area of concern, as the larger 12.9-inch iPad Pro has 4GB of RAM, but it seems that it physically needs a larger amount of RAM due to the size.
The 9.7-inch Retina Display is unique and very sharp, the True Tone technology takes a little while to get used too. It does have an impact on the viewing experience and it is a good one, in that it makes it easier to view the device. Specifically, for when you are looking at the iPad Pro for long periods of time.
On the back you get the same camera setup that the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have and it performs pretty well. My favorite feature has to be the Rose Gold design, it really stands out.
Keep in mind that we have only had the device for a few hours, but stay tuned for more coverage on the iPad Pro 9.7-inch!
