Our friends over at 2K Games have sent us Spec Ops: The Line for us to review. For starters this is not your average 3rd person shooter, it brings emotion to the tablet and a new environment than what most gamers are used too. You have to think before you shoot the gun and think before you make your next move. But, should you go out and get Spec Ops: The Line? We will answer that in the full review which begins right now.
Game Play
The Campaign mode will suck you into it, and you will like it. It is a very original story, that brings you throughout the entire map. After each level you’ll be asking your self questions. You have to think about each move that you make, and the games forces you to do this. The goal of the entire game changes quite rapidly, and you may find yourself confused at certain points. But all of this leads up to an amazing ending, we will not share that with you as you should experience it for your self. You enter the game as a special guest, but you are playing as Captain Martin Walker. And you mission is to look or find Cornel John Konrad and the Damned 33rd, his battalion. He originally was trying to evacuate Dubai after a wave of deadly sandstorms, however it did not go as planned. Game play is similar to that of Gears of War, but aiming it much more difficult than others on the market. There is o auto aim, so you have to get exact hits. Exact hits because ammo is super hard to come by, and the enemies get harder as the game progresses. Squad command’s are a huge help, by simply tapping “RB” you can tell your soldiers who to kill. This helps if they can get a one shot kill, instead of you wasting more ammo to do the same job. When you go in to do a neck stab or an up close kill, they use some special graphics for that. Cut scenes come in handy, not only are they done really well, they fill you in on information that is very important to the game. Your other soldiers will communicate with you and try to help you out as well. Keep in mind that you can take ammo from the enemies you kill. Surviving is difficult, while you can regain health it doesn’t always come quick enough. They are usually a lot of enemies coming at you all at once, cover and squad command will become your best friends. Thematic music will let you know what kind of situation you are in or getting into. The environment can help you, Sand is like another weapon for you. Although the first time you can see and go through a sand storm you will have no idea what is happening, but it lets your progress with the game. For instance breaking a glass ceiling that had sand on top of it will injure or kill the enemies above the ceiling and on the ground below. So definitely use the sand to your advantage. The health system is corny, as it changes the way it counts it through out the game. And it just adds to the difficulty of the game, being that ammo is hard to find and enemies get harder as it goes a long. The game is still super fun though. Online modes is where the game could have been done better, it is very similar to everything else that is on the market. The main differences is that you can use the environment to your advantage, and the weapons are better. However, they are very similar and I feel they could have incorporated the story line in to the game much better.
Graphics: The Game Environment
2K Game’s designers did an amazing job with the graphics on Spec Ops: The Line. The setting is very unique and vast, they took a lot of attention into detail. From the sand, to the cars, to the enemies they took care with everything. The Sand Storms are scary and freaky the first time you encounter them, they pull you into the story. However, they do add yet another challenge to an already challenging game. Graphics for the soldiers are amazing, within the first 5 minutes you see what the dead bodies will look like and you begin the fight. The cut scenes look like they could be their own movie, the designers really did an amazing job. It look really life-like, which helps keep the player interested. Although the story line it self is very engaging and makes you think about the game. But it is nothing without good graphics. At times I wish the sand storms didn’t blind your vision so much, as it makes you unable to see and most of the time results in you being killed. You also repel or drop in the game a lot, and it is a very smooth graphic. On multiplayer the graphics do lag a little bit, but for the most part they stay the same as they were in the campaign. However, the roughness of them does increase. Overall, the Graphics of this Spec Ops: The Line are gorgeous and add to the game’s greatness.
Bottom Line
Spec Ops: The Line is an amazing game, and is most certainly one of the best 3rd person military shooters on the market. While it is not comparable to Call Of Duty, as it is covered base and the story line is much different, it almost opens up a new category of 3rd person shooters. The unique environment filled with sand and sand storms is awesome at times, but other times it can be very annoying. The jokes that the other soldiers crack during the simulation help to keep the story line lively. The health the system could be improved, as it works differently throughout the entire game. However, the game is still fun and quite enjoyable. The online modes are very similar to other in the crowded market, and they could have had a game changer with special modes. Overall, Spec Ops: The Line is an amazing game and you should definitely check it out! Spec Ops: The Line for the Xbox 360 retails for $59.99 . Now, many of you have been asking for more info on Grand Theft Auto 5, well Rockstar has listened this time. Via their “Asked & Answered” post on their site, they have shared 2 screen shots from the game. You Can See The Post On Rockstar’s Site, By Clicking Here. Rockstar also had to say:
We are sorry if you find this frustrating, but please understand, we don’t do this because we ‘don’t care about our fans’ ‘don’t respect our fans’ ‘hate GTA fans etc’ – precisely the opposite! We do it because we want to make sure we only release 100% correct information, and because we want to keep plenty back for the actual game release so there are still lots of surprises when you play it.
So, they do care about the fans, and cannot wait to show us more, but they have to wait until they know for sure that it is accurate. And of course still want you to love and play the game once it is finally released. But, fear not Rockstar is known for unveiling a bunch of trailers before the games official releases, so we will have to plenty of stuff to look forward too in the future. Overall, the screenshots the amazing work that Rockstar has been putting into this game, from the skyline, to the trees, to the reflection in the lake, I cannot wait to get my hands-on this game! Rockstar ended by saying:
We will try and get some more screens for you soon and then another trailer when we are ready.
Our friends over at Samsung have sent us the AT&T Samsung Focus 2 for us to review. This is Samsung newest Windows Phone and is the next member to the Focus Family on AT&T. This is the Focus for everyone in away, it has some nice hardware and only costs $49.99 with a 2-year contract. This is the sequel to the original Focus that came out in 2010, but since then Windows Phone’s have been invading the market. Many of these devices have landed on AT&T’s network. Should you go out and get the Focus 2? We will answer that in the full review!
Design
The first thing that you will notice is that color, is actually very nice. The Focus 2 is outfitted in a glossy pure white paint job. This phone is not mean to be the thinnest, I think it is trying to be a first time smartphone or a simple smartphone. It comes in at .43 inches thick. And it comes in at 4.3 ounces, so it is not that thick or that heavy. It is also very comfortable to hold in your hand. The build of the Focus 2 is for the most part plastic, the only part of the device that is not black in color would be aluminum rim or siding that goes around the device. I do like the design, the white goes really nice with the aluminum. On the bottom of the device you will find the main microphone and micro USB port. Your headphone jack and second microphone is located on the top of the device. Your volume rocker is on the left side, while the power/sleep button is located on the right side with the camera shutter button. On the back you have the Samsung logo, Windows Phone logo, speaker and the 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. If you pop the back cover off you will find the micro SIM card slot and the 1750mAh battery. Like the other current Windows Phone devices there is no micro SD card slot. So, you are stuck with the internal memory or using cloud storage. Above the screen you will find the ear piece, a AT&T logo, proximity sensor, and the VGA front facing camera. Below the screen you have the Samsung logo, and 3 touch back light buttons. This buttons are your back, home, and search. And that sums up the design of the AT&T Samsung Focus 2.
Hardware
Now, we move onto the hardware on the AT&T Samsung Focus 2. For starters, we get a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, with a resolution of 480 X 800. One thing to note is that since it doesn’t have the “plus”, it does mean it is a Pen Tile display. However, I think that for the market they are going for with this device it won’t be an issue. With that being said color aren’t dull but they are not that vibrant and eye-popping, but viewing angles are pretty good. For speed you get access to AT&T’s 4G LTE Network, and if AT&T hasn’t deployed that network in your area just yet, you also get access to HSPA+, 3G, and even EDGE support on this device. And for speed on the device itself you get a 1.4GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Processor, which keeps the Focus 2 moving. Scrolling is pretty good, at times it may get hung up but for the most part it gets the job done. When you hit one of the touch buttons, it goes very fast. Your 1750mAh battery, should last the full day with normal use. If you are using a lot and really taxing the battery we saw that we could get a round 5(five) hours and 30(thirty) minutes of use. However, for an average user it should last the entire day. Samsung usually creates great cameras that are on smartphones. The 5 megapixel back camera is okay, but Samsung could have made it so much better. It gets the job done, but the quality is not that great. The VGA front facing camera is not that good as well, it will get you through a video chat and will take some good self portraits photos. Overall, Samsung put some good and some bad hardware into the AT&T Samsung Focus 2.
Software
Now, the AT&T Samsung Focus 2 is a Windows Phone, and it is running Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. It is the standard Windows Phone operating system, with some special applications from Samsung and AT&T. You have your lock screen that displays your battery power, connectivity, time and date. And then to unlock you simply swipe up, and from there you are in the operating system. You have your home screen which is filled with your tiles, you can customize these, add new ones, and removes the ones you don’t want. If you want to remove one just, hold down on the tile and then push the little thumb tack in the corner. It has a slash going through it, meaning it will be removed. Of course you can always bring it back by re-adding it. For all of the Xbox 360 fans out there, the Xbox Live application syncs up with this device very nicely. Since, Samsung can’t put a Touch Wiz or another user interface on here they give you Samsung Now. This updates you on the weathers, stock, currency, tweets, news, and pretty much anything else you would want it too. It comes in handy if you want to get like a daily briefing of wants going on in the world in the morning when you get up. I personally enjoyed this, and hope to see other manufactures add something like this. In terms of other pre-loaded applications, you will find AT&T Code Scanner, AT&T FamilyMap, AT&T Navigator, AT&T U-Verse Mobile, Calculator, Calendar, Camera, Games, Mail, Help+How-To, Maps, Marketplace, myAT&T, Now, Office, Photo Studio, YP Mobile and more. Granted a lot of these are core applications, besides the AT&T ones and a few others. Luckily, most of them can be removed. And then of course if you wanted to add more the Windows Phone Marketplace is your one-stop-shop. Overall, I enjoyed the software on the AT&T Samsung Focus 2.
Bottom Line
The AT&T Samsung Focus 2 is a nice and simple Windows Phone. I really enjoy the Windows Phone orating system, and it works very well on the Focus 2. This is thanks to it’s 1.4GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Processor, the downside is here is that you do not have any expandable storage. For a heavy app user, this is not the device for you. It has 2 cameras that will get the job done, but I wouldn’t rave about them. You get access to AT&T’s 4G LTE, HSPA+, and 3G Networks, which will pretty much you have covered everywhere. And then to close the device out, you have an amazing operating system that is super easy to use and will be enjoyed by all. And Samsung Now is an added bonus that you will get you the latest weather, news, stock, and much more. And this all happens at the touch of a button. The AT&T Samsung Focus 2 retails for $49.99 with 2-year contract or $399.99 with no contract. On October 7th Nintendo will be releasing several new Pokemon games, Pokemon Black Version 2, Pokemon White Version 2, and Pokemon Dream Radar.
In Pokemon Black and White 2, players will thrust back into the Unova region two years after the events of the previous game. This time, however, there are new places to be seen, new adventures to have, and new things to do. PokeStar Studios has been added to the game, where gamers can make their own movies with their Pokemon. There are many genres to choose from, including horror and romantic comedy. Once the movie has been created, it can be shown in the in-game theater. Depending on the moves selected and the order, the crowd will either love the movie or hate it.
There are many new places to explore in Version 2, including Virbank City and Aspertia City. Virbank City is the home to Pokestar studios, while Aspertia City is the starting point of the new Pokemon Journey. Aspertia City also host a Pokemon Gym, who’s leader is Cheren, the rival of the gamer in the previous game. If you’re curious about the second rival, Bianca, she’s doing fine too: Bianca’s has become Professor Juniper’s assitant.
The most significant addition to the franchise comes from Pokemon Dream Radar. Available via download through the Nintendo eStore, those with a 3DS will be able to capture Pokemon in a refreshingly new way. Using the Nintendo 3DS’s video camera, players will use augmented reality to snag Pokemon, some of whom are quite rare, and transfer them to their Pokemon Black Version 2 or Pokemon White Version 2.

Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 bring players back to the Unova region two years after the events ofPokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version. One new area is Virbank City, where players will be able to visit Pokéstar Studios and star in their own movie with their favorite Pokémon. The movie a player creates premieres at the in-game theater, where the audience gives it a rating. Movies are rated based on script choices and battle move sequence, and players can even create sequels to existing movies. There are many movie genres to choose from, including romantic comedy and horror.
Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 will also give fans of the original games a chance to catch up with some familiar friends. In this game, Cheren and Bianca return two years after the events of Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version, and a lot has changed. Bianca is now the assistant to Professor Juniper, helping her with Pokémon research. Cheren is now a Gym Leader and a teacher at a school in Aspertia City – the starting location for this adventure.
In Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2, players will also be able to catch some of the Pokémon from outside the Unova region, such as Eevee, Riolu, Tyranitar, Arcanine and Mareep, right from the start of the game. If they are playing on Nintendo 3DS, players can transfer Pokémon they have caught with Pokémon Dream Radar into their Pokémon Black Version 2and Pokémon White Version 2 games (visible in 2D only). Pokémon Dream Radar lets players use several different features of the Nintendo 3DS system, including the Nintendo 3DS camera, motion control and augmented-reality technology, to discover and catch Pokémon. The game includes hard-to-find Pokémon such as the new Therian Formes of Legendary Pokémon Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus.
Additionally, players can learn all about their favorite Pokémon by purchasing Pokédex 3D Pro from the Nintendo eShop. This enhanced and upgraded version of the original Pokédex 3D includes detailed information about every known Pokémon featured in the history of the Pokémon video game series.
Our friends over at Samsung have sent us the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 for us to review. The second generation version of the 10.1 tab, brings aboard some new features and a cheaper price. They have cut the price down by $100, which means it will only cost you $399. They keep the same great design of Samsung’s past products, and it adds some new elements to the table. Now, let’s get started with the full review of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1!
Design
Like the Tab 2 7.0 is has the same build-material, and the same “titanium silver” color. The build quality does seem durable, but I wouldn’t recommend dropping it. One thing to note is that the screen does not fill up the entire front of the device. In fact when holding the device in landscape form, the speakers are on either side of the screen. This makes the sound quality of this device even better. And this device’s speakers is great, it can get very loud and the quality is great. These are the main speakers on the unit, and while they might be small they pack a big punch with the sound. Under the screen you will have the Samsung logo and above you will find the front facing VGA camera. On the back of the device you will find the 3 megapixel camera, Samsung logo, and serial number information. On the top of the device you will find the power/sleep button, volume rocker, microSD card slot, inferred sensor, and a headphone jack. The microSD card slot can hold up to a 32GB microSD card. However, this guy already comes with 16GB of internal storage. On the bottom of the device you will find the proprietary dock connector. In the box you get the outlet port for charging the device and the charging cord. Now, they did add some thickness and some weight to this device. It comes in at .38 inches thick and 1.28 pounds. Overall, the design of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is great!
Display And Speakers
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 may not have a “plus” or “Super AMOLED” display, but that does not mean it is not an awesome display. The tab 2 10.1 has a 10.1 TFT (PLS) Display with a resolution of 1280 x 800. Keep in mind that is basically the same display found on the original 10.1 tab. However, the viewing angles on this device are very impressive. And it performs this way whether your brightness is all the way up or not that high. When you watch the pre-loaded “Samsung Moments Of Everyday Life” video you will be amazed by the quality of the image. Most likely this video was not shot with the camera on this device. The quality of watching video on the display is very nice and it will surprise you. Now, the speaker’s have a much different location on the Tab 2 than they did on the original device. This way your hand won’t cover up the speakers, when they used to be on the back of this device. The sound get very loud and the quality, for the most part, stays the same. And the quality is very good on this device. Thumbs up to Samsung for really working hard on the display and the speakers.
Rest Of The Hardware
Now, there is more to this device than just the display, a great design, and the speakers. This is WiFi only device and it is important that it has a good WiFi antenna on the device. Keep in mind that it does help to have a good WiFi connection in your house or where ever you are using the device. The software does run very swiftly on this device, it has a 1.0 GHz Dual-Core processor inside. I am suppressed that they didn’t upgrade this to a 1.2 or 1.5GHz dual-core processor. But the 1GHz processor does get the job done on this device. The VGA front facing camera does a nice job when your video chatting but, I wouldn’t use it to take your self-portrait. But “selfies” do come out very nicely on this device. The back 3 megapixel camera has really good focus, but the overall quality of the device could be improved. It is hit or miss like it was on the Tab 2 7.0, and if you are shooting outside in almost any type of weather the photo may be washed out. For space to store all of your data, you should be a-okay. Internally you get 16GB of storage and it can hold up to a 32GB microSD card. Overall, Samsung did a nice job on picking good hardware for this device.
Software: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich With Samsung TouchWiz
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface. And this version if almost identical to the version of TouchWiz on the Tab 2 7.0 . One neat feature of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, is that it has an inferred sensor. And this is one of the reason’s why Samsung is ahead of the competition in many of their markets, including mobile devices. Out of the box this device comes with “PEEL” pre-loaded, and this is a smart remote application. This is one of the best applications on this device. It is the perfect companion for watching TV and the 10.1 inch size feels right. It is super easy to hold in your hand and the application runs very quickly thanks to the 1.0GHz Dual-Core Processor. Setup is very easy, just follow the on-screen instructions and within minutes you are good to go. When you are on the home page of the application swipe to the left of the screen from the right side, and your virtual remote shows up. You can also view the TV’s listing, it hooks up with your cable provider for instance Verizon FiOS or Comcast XFINITY. You can also personalize the application to your personal favorites and it can recommend shows and or movies that you may like. Overall, by far PEEL is my favorite application on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 . In terms of other pre-loaded applications you get AllShare, Amazon Kindle, Calculator, ChatON, DropBox, Game Hub, Google +, GMail, Media Hub, Memo, Messenger, Music Hub, Music Player. Photo Editor, Netflix, Play Store, S Suggest, Samsung Applications, Video Maker, and much more. Overall, Samsung has done a great job with perfecting the software to work and run swiftly and smoothly on the Tab 2 10.1 .
Bottom Line
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a great tablet and offers many great features that push it ahead the similar offering’s from the competition. For instance coming at only $399 for a 10 inch tablet is awesome. It also features a great 10.1 inch display, a great design, 1.0GHz Dual-Core Processor, an InferRed sensor which let’s your tablet become a smart remote and much more! So, if you are on the market for a 10 inch tablet be sure to check out the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 from Samsung as you will most certainly enjoy it. Rumors have been around for quite some time regarding the next Xbox, and huge news has broken today regarding it. While we won’t be seeing the next generation Xbox this year, it should be announced in 2013, with an estimated availability of holiday 2013! And they are calling the new Xbox in the leaked roadmap, the “Xbox 720″. This has been the rumored name for quite some time. They also have a new Kinect coming soon. Now, the new Xbox 720 is trying to be the 1-box for everything in your entertainment system. It will feature 4x-6x games, Full XTV support, Blu-Ray, CD, DVD, Online Content, New Core Titles For Both Xbox And Kinect Games, Bring Your TV Service To The System, 3D/HD Movies, Xbox Application Store, New User Interface, And New Services That are Exclusive To The Xbox 720! The new Kinect features an HD RGB Camera, 4-player tracking, better 3D play space(deeper, wider, closer), Improved Voice Recognition, and more. Keep in mind that this is a leaked document, and some of the specifications may not be true. They could have already scraped this plan, but hopefully they go on this path. It does show many of the stuff that was announced at E3 this year. Let us know what you think in the comments below and be sure to check out the full 56-page slide show below!
Our friends over at Samsung have sent us the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 for us to review. Samsung has many tablets on the market, from the 7.0 Plus to the 8.9 to the 10.1 . And then they have WiFi, 3G and even 4G versions of the tablet. Well, many of your probably remember the original Samsung Galaxy Tab, it was the 7-inch tablet that did in a way start a revolution. Well, now we have the successor and that is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 . Although, it does have some enhancements that you will enjoy. And it has an amazing price point, it is only $249.99 which make’s it super consumer friendly. However, should you go out and get this device? We will answer that in the full review, which begins right now!
Design
Now, Samsung has made some pretty nice looking products and the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 does continue this tradition. The back of the device is plastic and it is a nice light grey/silver color. The device is pretty light, as it comes in at 0.76 pounds. It feels very comfortable to hold in your hands, Samsung must have taken this into consideration when designing the tablet. It is thin also at just 0.41 inches. It has a very similar design to that of Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, however it does have some of the high-end features that give it $420 price point. On the top of this device you have a microphone and headphone jack. On the left hand side you have your micro SD card slot, if you open up the little door you will find it. On the right hand side you have the power/sleep button, volume rocker, and the inferred sensor. On the bottom of the device you have 2 speakers and a charging port. Please note that this device has a propriety charging cord and port. Above the screen you have the VGA front facing camera and below the screen you have the Samsung logo. On the back you have the 3 megapixel camera with no LED flash, a Samsung logo, and some serial numbers and certifications. The rim going around the device is a dark grey. Samsung calls the over color of the device “Titanium Silver”, once you see the device you will understand why it is called this. Overall, the design of the Tab 2 7.0 is very similar to that of the other Galaxy Tabs.
Hardware
Now, onto the hardware inside of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 . The actual display on this device does not go fully to the edge, it stop before it. I personally like this, for instance if you prefer holding on to the front of the tablet you can still do this and see the display. It has a 7-inch 1024 x 600 PLS TFT display, now Samsung is known for there displays. I have a feeling that in order to keep the price low, they had to keep the hardware low as well. This does not mean that the screen is not good, if you have the brightness all the way up the quality is very nice. And viewing angles are also quite good as well on this device. For speed this guy has a 1GHz dual-core Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 processor with 1GB of RAM. This does keep the device moving, granted it is not as fast as a quad-core device. However, it does a good job on this device; Multitasking in Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is a breeze and it moves very quickly. This is a WiFi only device and does have a very nice amount of storage. It has a 8GB of Internal Memory, a micro SD card slot that can hold up to a 32GB micro SD card, and something special. And the special thing is that with the purchase of the device you get 1-year of 50GB in DropBox for free. This is a $99.99 value, and it is your for just buying the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 . All you have to do is just sign up or sign in using the DropBox application on the Galaxy Tab and you are good to go. You get a 4,000mAh battery , that lasted around 7 and a half hours during our testing. And of course you get the charging cable and outlet plug-in the box with the device. Overall, the hardware is pretty good on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 .
Software: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich With Samsung TouchWiz
Now, finally we have devices coming to market with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on them. I am personally a huge fan of Samsung TouchWiz. And I am very happy to see that it is on this device. If this device is going to be someone’s first Android tablet, they will need to learn how to use it. And Samsung TouchWiz(In most cases) makes the operating system much easier to use. However, Samsung TouchWiz is much different from what the clean version of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich looks like. For starters widgets are back and they have been updated. In your homepage you get the Weather, Music Hub, Yahoo News, Music, widgets. You can also add the clock, bookmarks, calendar, contact, Dropbox, Facebook, Google +, Pictures, Program Monitor, YouTube, and many other widgets. One great feature is the ability to take screenshots from the home screen. Just simply touch the button next to the multitasking button and it takes a screenshot. You then have a chance to edit it, before you decide to save it or to delete it. In terms of preloaded applications you get all of the great Samsung one’s like Readers hub, Music hub, Media hub, and the Game hub. Game Hub is the place to find awesome free and premium games. You can see all of the applications that come on the device in the gallery below. As we mentioned before the DropBox application is pre-loaded on this device and by simply signing in or signing up you get 50GB of space free for one year. This is a great deal and I am happy to see that Samsung is continuing to offer it. Overall, the Software on the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is great!
Camera
Samsung has included 2 camera’s on the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 . You get the front facing VGA camera and the back 3 megapixel camera. Most camera’s on tablets these days come nowhere near to replacing those on our smartphones or an actual camera. So, with that begin said the 3 megapixel back camera is really hit or miss on this guy. Most of the photos were a little washed out, but it was cloudy out side when we did test shots. Which you can see in the gallery below. Although the photo with the flowers did come out pretty good. However, I don’t think you should do professional photography with this device. Video was not the best either, however the VGA front facing camera was good for taking “selfies” or for video chatting. However, the camera application itself does have the option to time the photo, do effects, zoom in and out and more. Check out the gallery below!
Bottom Line
Overall the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is a great tablet. It comes at a great price at only $249.99. For this price you are getting a great tablet, that will get the job done. This probably competing most with the Kindle Fire from Amazon. And I feel that for the extra $50 you are getting a better device. For starters it is the full version of Android with an awesome user interface from Samsung. You get a 7-inch display. 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal space, 50GB free form DropBox, 2 cameras, and more. If you’re in the market for a first time Android tablet or don’t want to spend that much and want the Android 4.0 Operating System, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is the device for you.
