Well folks its been 4 years since the first Crysis came to market for the PC  It was revolutionary during its time not particularly for the story or game play, but for its graphics.  It was the game so good you couldn’t even play it without having a $5000 computer.  But time has gone on and its days of being better than its system have come to a close.  On March 25, the second installment of the Crysis franchise will hit the market for the PC and, for the first time in Crytek history, to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

On the 360 a multiplayer demo has been released which includes 1 map, 2 game modes, 5 classes, and 4 weapons.  It does a very good job of showing off the Nanosuit 2, the second version of super armor from the first game, and all of its functions.  Recently as well, we were informed by Crytek that a PC demo will be available on March first which will include the same previews as the 360 version but with a second map.

As for the campaign and story, Crysis 2 picks up 3 years after the events of the first game.  The world has been ravaged by increased seismic activity and the deadly Manhattan virus emerges in where else but Manhattan.  You assume the role of a U.S. marine codenamed Alcatraz and you are thrown into the war between our planet and the invading alien forces.

I have to say that I am really looking forward to this game.  I am a huge fan of the first Crysis and this second installment does not look like it will disappoint.  The game is available for pre-order at the Crysis 2 Website.
