Lenovo Launches Four New Smartphones, Including The Vibe Z It’s First With LTE!

Lenovo has just unveiled four new smartphones, thus expanding their smartphone lineup. They offer a smartphone for everyone and each has their own unique features. The new Vibe Z is their first smartphone to feature LTE, but it still incorporates performance elsewhere in the device and a nice design, to the compete the premium package. With Lenovo’s S Series smartphones we see a device for those looking for a big screen and a smaller one. Rounding out the new lineup we have the A Series, which comes in at a more affordable price, but still offers the features you are looking for.

Lenovo Vibe Z; Featuring A 5.5-inch Full HD Display And Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

The Vibe Z could be considered the new flagship smartphone for Lenovo, it will certainly be the fastest. Inside we have an LTE chip that will give you up to 50Mbps on the upload and 150Mbps on the download. It can operate on the GSM and UTMS networks up to 2100, for more connectivity Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11ac WiFi is on board. Lenovo has been working with Qualcomm on this device, so powering it will be Qualcomm SnapdragonTM 800 Quad-core 2.2GHz processor with 2GB of RAM. This should mean it will be a very fast experience with Android 4.3 and a Lenovo user interface on the Vibe Z. Lenovo has added in gesture controls, which they believe will make it easier to use the device. We have seen this similar type of technology from Samsung and LG. 16GB of storage is on the inside, but not expandable storage is available. If you enjoy taking selfies or snapchating, you will be delighted to know that a 5 megapixel camera with a 84° lens for wide-angle shots is on the front. A 13 megapixel camera with LED flash is on the back. A 5.5-inch IPS Full HD 1920 X 1280 display is on the Vibe Z, it features 400ppi and 20/20 vision. All of this should make a for a very clear, sharp, and vibrant display. A large 3000mAh battery is inside and Lenovo is saying your talk time is around 33 hours and can stay on standby for 27 days. Finishing off the premium package of the Vibe Z, we have either a silver or titanium body, while the back is a laser etched fabric feel. The device comes in at just 7.99 millimeters thick and only 147 grams. The Lenovo Vibe Z is coming for $549 in February in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and the Philippines.

Lenovo S930; A Media Powerhouse

The New S Series features offer a smartphone for those looking for a bigger device and smaller device. Both have the Vibe Z’s silver body and laser etched fabric feel back. The S930 is a striking smartphone with a 6.0-inch capacitive 1280 X 720 display, it is larger than the Galaxy Note 3. For sound the S930 has dual front facing speakers with Dolby Digital Plus, this device is an entertainment powerhouse. The S650 is a more compact and pocket-sized device, featuring a 4.7-inch qHD 960 X 540 IPS display. Both of these devices features Android 4.2 with a Lenovo user interface and are powered by a MediaTek 6582 1.3GHz Quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. A 8 megapixel camera is on the back and a 1.6 megapixel camera is on the front, you can use the Lenovo Super Camera and Super Gallery applications to add fun effects and to edit your photos. 8GB of storage is found internally on both of the devices, plus a micro SD card slot to expand. Like the Vibe Z gesture controls are built-in to these devices as well. A feature that is quite popular overseas is found on the S930 and S650, that being dual SIM cards. The S930 will cost $319 and the S650 will come in at $229, they will both be available immediately in countries where Lenovo smartphones are sold.

Lastly we have the A series which is the all around performance model. The A859 to be more specific combines the features of a smartphone that Lenovo feels are the most in demand and it packages them in an affordable package. It comes in at 9.22 millimeters thick and comes in your choice of black or white. Like the S930 and S650 it is a dual SIM phone and is running Android 4.2 with a Lenovo user interface. It is powered by a MediaTek 6582 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor  with 1GB of RAM. A nice 5-inch 1280 X 720 HD IPS display with ultra-wide 178° viewing angles, it beats out comparable devices as well. A 8 megapixel back camera with LED flash and a 1.6 megapixel front camera are on the A859. For storage you will get 8GB internally and a micro SD card slot to expand. The Lenovo A859 will cost $219 and is available immediately in countries where Lenovo smartphones are sold.

Overall, Lenovo is launching quite a nice lineup of smartphones. The Vibe Z is the new flagship smartphone that creates a premium package, with a vibrant 5.5-inch display, a fast LTE data connection is paired with a 2.2GHz processor, and an elegant design. The new S Series devices, S930 and S650 create a media powerhouse or a compact media device. Either way you will get a good device thanks to a speedy MediaTek 6582 1.3GHz Quad-core processor and a nice pair of cameras. Lenovo Launches Its First LTE Smartphone with Vibe Z

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – January 2, 2014: Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) today introduced its first LTE smartphone, the Lenovo Vibe Z, a gorgeous razor-thin, blazing-fast device equipped with gesture controls, photo enhancement software and other premium technologies. To complement the Vibe Z, Lenovo also launched a trio of smartphones, starting with the S930, a supersized 6-in device primed for media addicts, the S650, a 4.7-in compact and stylish workhorse, and the “tweener” A859, a 5-in high performance all-rounder.

Vibe Z Wraps LTE, Style and Top Technologies into One Incredible Device
As Lenovo’s first smartphone featuring LTE capabilities, the Vibe Z offers true mobile freedom with super-fast data upload at up to 50 Mbit/s1 and downloading at up to 150 Mbit/s1 to satisfy the most data hungry of individuals. The Vibe Z operates on GSM/UMTS networks up to 2100 and also comes with 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.
The svelte Vibe Z comes encased in a thin 7.9mm silver or titanium body weighing just 147 grams. Users will appreciate its laser-etched, fabric-feel rear cover that is comfortable to hold and its 5.5-in full high definition (1920×1080) IPS wide angle viewing touchscreen display. Images appear pin sharp leveraging the Vibe Z’s 20/20 Vision display with a pixel density of 400 pixels per inch. S Series Smartphones Offer Supersized or Pocket-Sized Mobile Media
The S930 perfectly satisfies the most voracious of media mavens with its high definition and audio enhanced movie and gaming experience while the S650 offers a powerful pocket-sized media device. Both smartphones adopt the Vibe Z’s silver body and laser-etched fabric-feel rear cover, the S930 supersizes the available screen real estate with its 6-in high definition 1280×720 touchscreen while the S650 sports a compact 4.7-in gHD 960×540 display with IPS wide angle viewing.

A859 All Around Performance Model

Designed for great all around performance, the A859 smartphone combines several in-demand features for a rewarding experience. Available in white or black, it measures 9.2mm thin with a 5-in high definition (1280×720) IPS screen with 178° wide angle viewing. Like the S Series, it has a dual SIM card, runs on a MediaTek 6582 processor and Android 4.2, has an 8 MP rear camera, a front camera and 8 GB of storage.
