Lenovo Continues The Multimode Revolution By Expanding Their Product Lineup!

Lenovo is continuing the multimode revolution by expanding their product lineup. They are offering a wide range of choices for customers with many different modes. The Miix2, YOGA 2, Flex 14D & 15D, have all just been announced at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show!

We just raved about the Miix2 8 and called it the best 8-inch Windows 8 Tablet on the market, Lenovo is expanding the great features of this device to two new products. Unveiling the Miix2 in both 10 and 11 inch sizes, they give you all the power of a Windows 8 PC and put it into the form of a multi mode tablet. You can pop it into a base to give you the full PC experience and when you want ultra portability, simply pop it out of the base. The keyboard case allows for you to use the Miix’s in three modes in total. If you are looking for connectivity, both the Miix2 10 and 11 feature a mini HDMI port, an SD card reader, micro SD card slots, USB 2.0 port, and a SD card reader.

The Miix2 10 is the most portable of the new Miix series announced today. It weighs just 1.31-pounds and is only 0.36-inches thick. It will be running Windows 8.1 and it is a 64-bit tablet thanks to a Quad Core Intel Atom processor with up to 2GB of RAM. You can control Windows 8.1 via the 10.1-inch full HD display with 10-point multi-touch,178o wide viewing angles, and a 1920 X 1200 resolution. A 5 megapixel camera is on the back and a 2 megapixel camera is on the front. It features JBL speakers, up to 128GB of storage internally, a micro SD card slot, and more. The Miix2 10 will be available in March and will start at $499.99!

The Miix2 11 truly harnesses the power of a PC and puts it in a much more portable form. You can get more speed to be more productive, as it is being powered by up to a 4th Generation Intel Core i5 processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM. For storage you can go as big as a 256GB SSD internally, plus a micro SD card slot for expansion. It is running Windows 8.1 and features a 11.6- full HD display with 10-point touch, 178 wide viewing angles, and a 1920 X 1200 resolution! The Miix2 11 is quite the powerful portable and will be landing in April for a starting price of $699!

When Lenovo first introduced the YOGA to us, they showed us a glimpse of the future. One filled with many devices that can be more productive not only because of the hardware inside, but because of the design. Now, they are making the YOGA mainstream and more affordable. Introducing the YOGA 2 11, it starts at just $529 and is loaded with features. It comes packed with the four modes, Laptop, Stand, Tent, and Tablet. The dual hinge design makes all of the modes possible. It weighs only 2.9-pounds and is just 0.67-inches thick. It gets its speed from up to Quad Core Intel Pentium processor paired with up to 4GB of RAM. It is running Windows 8.1 and you control it via the 11.6-inch HD 178 wide-view display with 10-point touch and 1366 X 768 resolution. There are several software features on the YOGA 2 11, like Lenovo Picks which will recommend applications for you to use depending on which mode you are in and with Lenovo Transition you can have it open certain applications when you switch to a certain mode. Making the speakers even better and increasing the quality is Dolby Home Theater v4. The YOGA 2 11 will certainly be a highlight of the show and it is great to see that Lenovo is opening up the YOGA brand to a whole new market.

The YOGA 2 13 is the powerhouse variant that was announced today. It gives you a powerful experience at a more affordable price point of $999. Even though it has more power, it still has a portable design at just 3.5-pounds and only 0.68-inches thick. The YOGA 2 13 is powered by up to a 4th Generation Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB of RAM. It is running Windows 8.1 and you can have up to 500GB of storage. It has a 13.3-inche Full HD 178 wide-view display with 10-point touch and 1920 X 1080 resolution. The AccuType Keyboard is backlit on the YOGA 2 13 and it features both motion and voice controls. The YOGA 2 13 is a true multimode powerhouse.

Next we have the very affordable two mode devices, those being the Flex 14D and 15D. These two PC’s combine both work and play into one machine. They are powered by to AMD A6-5200M quad-core processor with 8GB of RAM. The 14D has a 14-inch HD display with 10-point multi-touch and a 1366 X 768 resolution, while the 15D has a 15.6-in HD display with 10-point multi-touch and 1366 X 768 resolution. You can have a mix of storage solutions, like a stand hard drive with an SSD. Via the 180-degree hinge you get the modes, including the popular stand mode. The Lenovo Flex 14D and 15D begin at $499.99 and will be available in 2014.

With 2014 just beginning, Lenovo is already continuing the multi mode revolution. With the new Miix2 10 or 11, they are brining all of the great features of the Miix2 8 to a larger form factor. Harnessing the power of PC and putting it into a super portable tablet form factor. The YOGA started the multimode revolution and now with the YOGA 2 11 and 13, they are making this product very affordable. Lastly, with the Flex 14D and 15D they are bringing the two mode devices mainstream with a lower price point. The 10-in and 11-in models of the MIIX 2 turn heads for their detachable design featuring Laptop, Stand and Tablet Modes. The YOGA 2 advances the original YOGA laptop’s reputation for its 360° flip and fold design but now with more advanced specifications and at mainstream prices. Expanding Multimode Design with MIIX 2 Detachables
Recognizing that one design doesn’t fit all, the MIIX 2 gives people a different way to enjoy the benefits of multimode computing with its unique detachable design. Running the new 64-bit enabled quad-core Intel® AtomTM processor and Windows 8.1, it offers users an ideal blend of portability and entertainment features with its FHD 1920×1200 10-finger touchscreen display, WiFi and optional 3G1, JBL surround speakers for rich, immersive audio, up to 128 GB of eMMC storage along with a micro SD slot for adding up to 32 GB of music, movies, photos and other data. YOGA, the convertible laptop line that set the mold for multimode computing, continues to refine its consumer-friendly features with YOGA 2, giving users its trendsetting design with new smart software functionality at a more affordable mainstream price starting at $529 (11-in model). YOGA 2 also gets smarter with more apps for YOGA Picks, Lenovo’s unique concierge-like service that recommends specific apps based on YOGA 2’s mode. Users will continue to love its Laptop, Stand, Tent and Tablet Modes but now in a more compact package with enhanced specifications.

The 11-in model measures just 0.67-in thin, weighs 2.9lbs and features up to the brand new quad- core Intel® Pentium® processors for quick performance. Users can store lots of personal media files including photos, movies and games with its 500 GB HDD.
