Last week, Archer season 5 moved along and we learned more about the new role. The ISIS team is still together, but now they are a drug cartel. Archer, Lana, and Pam headed to a drug deal, which didn’t go exactly as planed. Now in episode 3, Pam brings the danger.

With that being said, Spoiler’s do lie below. If you don’t want to spoil it, I suggest you come back after you have watched the episode A Debt Of Honor.

We open up were the episode 2 ended, the gang returns to find out the money they got was fake, to be exact it was monopoly money. You could say this lead to some anger, but it leads to more revelations. Archer tries to come up with some ideas, while at the same time Pam’s addiction to cocaine is growing. Ron Cadillac is back in the new headquarters and we quickly learns that he is quite bored. Since all of ISIS properties is gone, they have some guns, but no ammo at all. To say the least they are missing a lot and have to figure out what to do. Cyril has to hide cocaine, so that Pam doesn’t eat it all. Quite an opening, that leads many fans wondering.

After the titles, Cheryl is still hard at work perfecting her voice along with Gillette’s coaching. Pam tried to solve her addiction problem, by using the fake money to buy some other drugs.. Bad part here is that, she bought them from the Yakuza. You may remember them from when Pam drifted with them and from a few more episodes. It makes you wonder what will happen, when they find out it was fake money, especially when Pam left some pretty specific clues as to where she is.

When the Yakuza comes all calling, we learn that Mr.Moto, voiced by George Takei, is not too happy. He wants the drugs back, but with no bullets they can’t really try to fight them. Pam then spills the beans and reveals that he will kill her, as it is a debt of honor. It lets use see a different side of Pam and we learn that her character has a big arc.

An important statement, that Cheryl probably should have let loose earlier, is that there is a room filled with guns. This then solves part of the ammo problem, but they are prior to WWI weapons. We also get Archer to say “Danger Zone” for the first time this season. Lana uses her secret agent skills, to line out where they should be stationed. Malory asks Ron to use a gun and this leads to some relationship spites. Ron gets shot, which was a very big surprise, then the Yakuza decides to shot out the windows.

After he gets shot, Cheryl lets loose that there are tons of secret tunnels leading out of the house. Which has quite a funny historical story, then they send Cheryl, Pam, and Cyril carry Ron to his rescue, hopefully. Archer then takes over and has a plan to save the day, one which requires his slightly darker black suite. Which Woodhouse should be getting, but he is not around to do so.

With his new suite, he goes into Yakuza style and then goes head to head with Mr.Moto. From here he learns a little about the honor code they follow and eventually make a deal. While Archer is working on this deal, Malory and Lana are keeping an eye from the roof. The deal wasn’t the best, they lost some cocaine, $5 million worth, as it went to Mr.Moto.

The episode ends on a high note, with some good comedy. While this not my favorite episode so far of the season, it does push the story line further. We begin to learn more about Cheryl’s family history, get some one liners, and learn a lot about Pam. Her addiction has still not yet been solved, but hopefully her time with the Yakuza is done for now. Although George Takei did a great job voicing and who knows maybe he will be back. All we know for now is that the debt of honor has been taken care of and Archer Vice will continue to progress forward.
