While Amazon, just launched their first smartphone, they have not forgotten about the Fire TV, which of course is their great streaming box. Today they are realizing a ton of new applications, content, and services for the device. The total selection of applications on the Fire TV has doubled since its launch. In fact they actually have an exclusive game, the very popular game Flappy Bird is getting a second life. Flappy Bird Family is a Fire TV exclusive and brings multiplayer for the first time to the Flappy Bird franchise. Dungeon Quest, Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse, The Wolf Among Us, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and The Bard’s Tale are the other game titles that were announced today.
Not only are they getting this exclusive game, but WATCH Disney Channel, WATCH Disney Jr., MLB.TV, Animal Planet L!ve, and WWE Network are available now. Plus, by the year’s end the Fire TV will have WATCH ABC, WATCH ABC Family, NFL Now, A&E, Lifetime, Outside TV, Young Hollywood, North Face TV, Fashion TV, Green TV and Dailymotion. I am very excited to see what else Amazon and Fire TV developers will be adding next to the already large selections of applications and services.
