We have just received confirmation from Disney Channel that Girl Meets World has been renewed for second season! The series, which is a successor to Boy Meets World a staple series in ABC’s original fir day night lineup, has been doing quite well. In fact during its premiere, it attracted 5.4 Million Viewers last and is the #1 series launch in 2014 for kids 2-11, kids 6-11, and tweens 9-14. Many of the fans of the original show Boy Meets World tuned in for the premiere, as 1.9 Million of the 5.2 Million viewers were adults in between 18-49. We are hearing that the second season will begging production sometime in the Fall and we can then assume that it will makes it way to television sometime in 2015.
We have received an official comment and press release from Disney Channel in regards to Girl Meets World getting a second season. The series has been rated the number one series among Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 and it has generated 4.7 millions view on the WATCH Disney Channel applications. Production will be in fact resuming in November at the studio in Los Angeles.

DISNEY CHANNEL ORDERS SECOND SEASON OF “GIRL MEETS WORLD,” #1 SERIES AMONG KIDS AND TWEENS
Disney Channel has ordered a second season of the comedy series “Girl Meets World,” it was announced today by Adam Bonnett, Executive Vice President, Original Programming, Disney Channels Worldwide. Since its June premiere, “Girl Meets World” has ranked as television’s number one series among Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14. To date, it has generated 4.7 million views on the WATCH Disney Channel app for mobile devices. “Girl Meets World” was created by Michael Jacobs and April Kelly and is executive-produced by Jacobs. It stars Rowan Blanchard, Sabrina Carpenter, Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel, August Maturo, Peyton Meyer and Corey Fogelmanis. Production resumes in Los Angeles in November.
“The series swiftly became a favorite of kids and their parents, many of whom grew up with ‘Boy Meets World,'” Bonnett said. “We’re looking forward to watching Riley Matthews and Maya Hart make the world their own, as Cory and Topanga teach them life lessons along the way.”
Season one introduces best friends Riley and Maya as they navigate the ups and downs of junior high; episodes include special appearances by several beloved characters from “Boy Meets World” including Mr. Feeney, who guest starred in the series premiere (played by William Daniels) and Minkus (actor Lee Norris) in an episode premiering Friday, August 15.
Last month, Disney Consumer Products debuted the D-Signed Girl Meets World Collection, a line of tween apparel inspired by the sitcom characters Riley and Maya. It is available exclusively at Kohl’s stores nationwide and Kohl’s.com/dsigned.
