Verizon Wireless is earning awards and top honors yet again and this time it is from a familiar face, at least it’s familiar to them, the latest RootMetrics results have just been released. This report is for the first half of 2014 and they scored high nationally, as well as in our area. Overall, they ranked highest nationally, which is a huge achievement. Keep in mind that Verizon was first to go 4G LTE and they have done an excellent job of building out while still maintaining the network. They won Overall Performance in 48 states, including the great state of New Jersey! Specifically for NJ they were the winner for speed and data, while they were tied for the other categories. Our friends in New York, will be happy to know they were on top there as well. Nationally, they won for reliability, speed, data, and call performance! It appears that those lightning fast speeds that I have seen while using there network, are not just happening in New Jersey, but nationally across the United States! Verizon was very excited about this announcement and we had the chance to speak with Andrew Testa, their New York Metro PR Manager and he said,
“With more than $400 million invested in our Network throughout the New York Metro region last year, it’s no surprise that we’ve won in Overall Performance in New Jersey in RootMetrics’ latest study. We are committed to providing our customers with the fastest, most reliable 4G LTE Network that they’ve come to expect from us.”
Overall, this is great news for Verizon and it shows that even though the New Jersey and New York Metro region was one of the first 4G LTE markets, they have been able to keep up and continue the reliability and speed they have become known for.
