Last Sunday, Samsung had their Unpacked event and unveiled two new flagships, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Today, using Twitter, Verizon has announced that pre-orders for these two devices will be starting on April 1. No word on pricing or an exact launch date, but all should be known in the coming weeks. The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge feature a new design style from Samsung, a full metal design with glass infused. Verizon appears to be offering both colors of the device, as well. The Galaxy S6 Edge takes after the Note Edge, the S6 Edge features a curved display on the sides. A true waterfall display, where the pixels and visuals will spill over both sides of the device. The Galaxy S6 has a more traditional display, but the rest of the features of the device have the same hardware. On Verizon, both devices will be powered by their lightning fast 4G LTE network!
The Galaxy S6 has a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, while the S6 Edge has a 5.1’-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED, Dual Edge. Both display has 577 pixels per inch and a super high-resolution of 2560 X 1440. It is a running a customized version of Android 5.0 Lollipop, Samsung now only pre-loads two of their applications on the devices. The Galaxy S6 has a 2550mAh battery and the S6 Edge has a 2600mAh battery, plus it will come in sizes of 32/64/128GB’s. On the front you get a 5 megapixel camera and the back features a 15 megapixel camera. The unlocked variants are being powered by a Quad 2.1GHz and Quad 1.5Ghz Octacore application processor with 3GB of RAM, this could change for the US carrier variants.
