Rumors of the OnePlus 2 smartphone have been ramping up and OnePlus has gotten in on the fun as well, teasing several features that will be found in the upcoming smartphone. The OnePlus 2 is slated to launch on July 27th 2015 and should have a price under the $450 range. Today, the company has released some information on how you will be able to get a OnePlus 2 and the invite system is back again.
But with this new and improved invite system, OnePlus hopes it will fix the issues from last years launch. The first improvement is more confidence, which OnePlus says will translate into more invites which means more people getting there hands on the device. Unfortunately, they have an invite system in place to buy the device. With that being said though they have 30-50x more than last year of a launch supply of devices.
They will have a reservation list, so you don’t have to enter contests and or keep your eyes peeled on social media to score an invite. Plus, when you get an invite and your purchase the device, you will get invites to share with your friends at a much faster rate.
Overall, these changes seem good on paper or rather in the blog post, but OnePlus needs to make sure the launch goes smoother. It seems that they will have enough device to handle the launch demand, but time will tell. As of right now the OnePlus 2 is slated to have 4GB of RAM, a 3300mAh battery, LTE support, a USB Type-C port, a 13 megapixel camera on the back, and more should be revealed in the coming days.
