T-Mobile has confirmed that the LG G5 will be joining the Un-carrier lineup at some point this Spring. And while T-Mobile had plenty of details and information about the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, they have very little information the LG G5.
It seems that the G5 will not becoming as soon as March 11th, but I have a feeling it will be landing soon after. T-Mobile has not specified when they will have exact pricing and availability, but it should be available in the coming weeks.
The LG G5 features an all metal aluminum design with a modular build, in that you can pop the battery out and add in different companion modules. It has a sharp and curved 5.3-inch Quad HD display that features 3D Arc Glass and an Always-On feature. This Always-on feature allows you to quickly see the time, calendar, and any recent notifications without turning the phone on. The G5 has a 16 megapixel and an 8 megapixel dual camera setup on the back of the device. One of these lenses features a 78-degree and the other has a 135-degree view, which is the largest of any smartphone. In fact the larger of the two is largely then the human eye’s field of view. On the front of the device you will find a 8 megapixel lens.
Powering the G5 is a Snapdragon 820 processor with 64-bit performance, an Adreno 530 chip for graphics, a low-power Qualcomm Hexagon DSP, and a Qualcomm spectra 14-bit dual image processor. All of this processing power is paired with 4GB of RAM, along with Android 6.1 Marshmallow with a LG user interface a top. For storage the LG G5, will have 32GB of internal storage, along with a micro SD card slot so you can expand.
