The moment has come, it is 8AM EST on February 23rd 2016 and that means you can now pre-order the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge from Verizon. There the two new flagships from Samsung that offer a solid upgrade from the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. You can now pre-order both devices from Verizon’s online store.
The Galaxy S7 on Verizon at $28 per month for 24 months or for $672 at full retail. You can get it in your choice of black onyx and gold platinum. Samsung’s Galaxy S7 Edge comes in at $33 per month for 24 months or $792 at full retail. The S7 Edge will come in lack onyx, gold platinum, and silver titanium. While you can pre-order them online today, they will officially launch on March 11th 2016.
Verizon has some sweat deals when you pre-order the device online, you will get either a a free Gear VR or Gear S2, but keep in mind the Gear S2 requires an activation on a contract. If you choose to pre-order your device in your store you can get a free Gear VR and get $100 off Gear S2 with a new 2-year activation. Whether you order online or in-store, if you get the free Gear VR you will also get a 6-game bundle from Oculus.
Both the S7 and S7 Edge will come with 32GB of internal storage and can be expanded via a micro SD card slot. The S7 features a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display, while the S7 Edge has a larger and curved 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display. They are both running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a Samsung user interface and are powered by a Quad-core 2.15GHz + 1.6GHz processor with 4GB of RAM. On the back you will find a Dual Pixel 12 megapixel with IOS cameras on the back and a 5 megapixel front camera. The Galaxy S7 has a 3,000mAh battery and the S7 Edge has a 3,600mAh battery, both will feature an IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.
