AT&T officially owns DirecTV, therefore the announcement coming from the company today is not a total shocker. As you might expect, AT&T likes it when its wireless customers use there other offerings. When you use one there newest handsets, like an S7 Edge or LG G5, you will get a notification about DirecTV. Similar to Comcast and Verizon, AT&T is now offering a triple play option for its customers; thus putting internet, TV, and phone into one plan.
The upside here is that for customers who have both DirecTV and AT&T, can save up to 40% or at least that’s what they are saying. It starts off by signing up for the DirecTV SELECT All Included package for $50 a month, which gets locked in when you add it to an eligible new or existing AT&T service. That AT&T service can be wireless or home internet, so there two main offerings. This monthly price also includes equipment, so there won’t be any extra charges there.
AT&T’s variant of a triple play bundled offering, doesn’t stray too far from the likes of Comcast or Verizon. It is available starting this Thursday, April 14th 2016, and might just save you some money.
