LG unleashed their flagship device earlier today, the LG G3, at a NYC press event. The LG G3 focuses on simplicity and they believe simple is the new smart. It features a 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and 538-pixels per inch. The display looks gorgeous and it is very sharp, LG did a very nice job with it. They revamped their LG user interface and it is running on top of Android 4.4.2 KitKat. LG made the design much more stylish, it is quite thin at 8.9-millimeters and weighs in at 149-grams. It has a metallic finish and is available in five colors, keep in mind it is not real metal and has a matte finish. It has an interesting curvature on the back and it feels nice in the hand. LG added a 13 megapixel back camera with Laser Auto Focus, on the front you get a 2.1-megapixel camera. It will feature either 16GB or 32GB of storage, and either 2GB or 3GB of RAM. It is powered by a 2.5GHz Quad Core processor and a 3000mAh battery. Smart Notice is a personal assistant built in to the OS and works similar to Google Now. The LG G3 will come to AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular this summer. Stay tuned for our full review of the LG G3, coming soon.
LG announced the QuickCircle Case earlier this month, ahead of the announcement of the LG G3. While at the NYC press event earlier today, Jacob Krol of NJTechReviews, got a chance to check out this unique accessory. Both the device itself and this new case, have been designed for each other. You can access several applications right from the case. You can snap a photo via the camera and it will use the Laser Auto Focus. Use the Music application to change the song or pause it. There is a health application as well, support for third party fitness trackers will be coming in the future. Phone and Text Messaging applications are available as well. No word on pricing or availability for the QuickCircle Case, but I have a feeling it will be coming this summer along with the G3.
