Samsung And Spotify Team Up To Enable Streaming On Shape Wireless Speakers!

Samsung and Spotify have announced a new strategic partnership which brings new features to their customers. In the past few months, Samsung has been updating their Shape Wireless Audio product line and today they get a great new feature. You can now use Spotify Connect to stream music to these speakers and in fact it is the first product in the world that will let Spotify Connect stream music to more than two speakers, thus enabling stereo listening. Prior to this, you could use the dedicated  Samsung Multiroom app to choose the music, now it can be done directly through the Spotify application. Spotify Premium customers are able to use the Spotfiy Connect service and will allow you to stream a specific song, your favorite album, personalized radio, and curate playlists. Coming soon they will be offering promotions that customers will be able to access both with a connection and without. For the first time “Spotify Connect” can stream across Samsung’s range of Shape™ Wireless Audio-Multiroom Products on more than two speakers

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced a strategic partnership with music streaming service, Spotify. More than 10 million Spotify Premium users will now be able to control their Samsung speakers directly from the Spotify app. Samsung Shape Wireless Audio Multiroom is the first product in the world that will let Spotify Connect stream music to more than two speakers, enabling stereo or multi-room listening.

Together, Samsung and Spotify will continue to make it easier for consumers to unleash the music from their portable devices, to the powerful speakers within the Samsung Shape Wireless Audio-Multiroom ecosystem. The partnership allows millions of music-lovers to enjoy music from Spotify’s curated playlists, personalized radio and huge catalogue of songs in any room of the house. The two partners will also be offering various joint promotions that users can access both online and offline.

Samsung’s Shape Wireless Audio-Multiroom speakers can be used alone or wirelessly with other Samsung devices within the ecosystem, including soundbars, home entertainment systems and Blu-ray players via Wi-Fi to create a multi-room audio system. The speakers are controlled from the free downloadable Samsung Multiroom app and facilitated through an easy plug-and-play installation process. With Samsung’s Shape M5 & M7 Wireless Audio Speakers, users can even pair their phone using the speaker’s NFC functionality; consumers simply tap their smartphone to the Shape speaker to instantly play music from their mobile device.
