Harmonix Unleashes Dance Central Spotlight For The Xbox One!

spotlight-announce

Harmonix has been quiet for the past few months, but today they have announced the latest addition to the Dance Central franchise, and it is Dance Central Spotlight! It is the first title that they are brining for the Xbox One, the next generation console from Micrisoft! In fact Dance Central Spotlight will be available exclusively on the Xbox One as a digital download. No exact pricing or availability has been announced just yet, but it is landing this September!

They are really putting the focus on dancing when it comes to this Dance Central and they want to make it customizable for each person. In fact you can now choose from eight different dance routines for each song, making it the most customizable Dance Central ever. It takes advantage of the new Kinect sensor, by providing more exact tracking and new voice commands. You can play with up to two dancers at a time and you will get 10 songs right when you download the game. If you want to work on your moves, simply say “DJ Practice That” and you will be brought into the new rehearsal mode, which shows your dance moves alongside a real-time dance mirror of yourself. For those who you who liked the Fitness Mode in the other titles in the Dance Central franchise, will be happy to know that it is back and is improved!

As soon as your download the Dance Central Spotlight, you will get ten core songs, but this can be expanded. You can choose from over fifty songs to really get your groove on, plus it will be ever expanding as top songs will be added every week! While Harmonix hasn’t yet announced all ten of the core songs, we do know that Happy by Pharell Williams, Wake Me Up by Avicii, Talk Dirty by Jason Derulo ft. 2 Chainz, Counting Stars by One Republic, and Show Me by Kid Ink ft. Chris Brown will be included in the core songs. Many of these are new songs that are being added to the franchise for the first time! Overall, I am getting very excited about Dance Central Spotlight and can not wait to check the title out. You can see a trailer and press release below!
