Girl Meets World premiered last night, June 27th 2014, and is the long-awaited continuation or follow-up series to Boy Meets World which premiered way back in 1993. Both Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are taking back there iconic roles of Cory and Topanga in Girl Meets World. They are mom and dad to Riley who is played by Rowan Blanchard, who does look like the child of both Cory and Topanga. It moves to its regular time slot of 8:30 on Friday night on July 11th, but it premiered at a later 9:45 time slot. It got a large 5.4 Million Viewers last night and is the #1 series launch in 2014 for kids 2-11, kids 6-11, and tweens 9-14. On top of the kids who tuned into watch, 1.9 Million of the 5.2 Million viewers were adults in between 18-49. These are pretty good numbers for a new series premiere and it might mean a bright future for the show. Girl Meets World was also available on the Watch Disney application and site for a few weeks before the premiere and is turning out to be the most viewed series ever on Watch Disney.
