NETGEAR is kicking off the IFA trade show with an intensifying announcement, they have just unleashed the X4 AC2350 Smart WiFi Router. It is the latest device to be adding the Nighthawk family of routers and the X4 is a Gigabit router that supports Quad-Stream WiFi architecture, along with the fastest dual-band 802.11ac speed available. And the best part would be that it is available right now for only $279.99, but let’s dive into the X4 Smart WiFi Router!

It can deliver a combined network speed of 2.33Gbps, which comes out to up too 1733 Mbps on the 5.0 GHz band + 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band, which is pretty darn fast. Inside the X4 is a 1.4GHz dual core processor and it provides a high amount of power to enable a more fluid multitasking experience. With Quad-Stream architecture that allows you to stream full HD content with less buffering and a better picture. Since, it has a four high performance antennas providing the connection, it will provide a large range and performance for almost anything you through at. In terms of ports built-into the router you get two USB 3.0 ports, five Gigabit Ethernet ports, and one eSATA port.

NETGEAR is saying the X4 Router is for high performance users and gamers, from the looks of it, I think it fits well with in these areas. With Dynamic QoS prioritization capability, it does not treat all connections from devices and applications the same way, it will go through and prioritize what application is mod important. It will also make sure that enough bandwidth is dedicated and made available for Smart TV’s, streaming boxes, PCs, smartphones, tablets, and this thanks to the device aware technology. With NETGEAR ReadySHARE Vault you can back up all of your photos, movies, music, documents, and more right over the fast WiFi connection.

Overall the X4, seems like a very nice router that should get the job done, especially in with a heavy multimedia environment. While you can see the full press release and gallery below, stay tuned to NJTechReviews for the full review of the NETGEAR Nighthawk X4 Smart WiFi Router!

This unique application-aware and device-aware capability makes online gameplay completely lag-free. Streaming full HD video is more stable and jitter-free, with less buffering, for a totally seamless experience.

“The Nighthawk X4 is designed for gamers and people who do a lot of video streaming,” said Sandeep Harpalani, NETGEAR’s director of product marketing for Retail Network Products. “We are excited to leverage the best in processing power, Dynamic Quality of Service, and dual-band WiFi technology to exceed the expectations of these demanding consumers.”
