Verizon Wireless has just announced that they will be adding a new Samsung device, and no it is not a teaser for #TheNextBigThing like we saw from AT&T and T-Mobile late last night. Instead they are adding the easy to use and affordable Galaxy Core Prime. The Core Prime is landing online on February 26th and in stores on March 5th for $29.99 with contract or for $8 a month on Edge.
The device features Samsung Easy Mode which makes the phone much easier to use and is a nice way to ease someone into an Android smartphone. It is quite customizable as well, allowing you to change text size and adds more applications to the favorite screen. It is launching with Advanced Calling 1.0 which enables HD Voice and is XLTE enabled. The Galaxy Core Prime has a 4.5-inch WVGA display, a 1.2GHz quad core processor, 8GB of internal storage, a micro SD card slot, a 2,000mAh battery, and more. It is running Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and will be getting an upgrade to 5.0 Lollipop in the future.
