Sprint is expanding it’s lineup of devices, as the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime will be landing on July 10th. The Galaxy Grand Prime is landing as an affordable device that will still provide a premium experience. The Grand Prime will be available for $29.99 with contract after a $50 mail-in rebate, for $240 with no contract, and for $0 down with 24 monthly payments of $10.
The Galaxy Grand Prime is from the minds of Samsung and is running Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. It features a 1.2GHz quad core processor and you have access to Sprint’s 4G LTE network, you can check your local coverage on Sprint’s website. You also get a 5-inch qHD PLS display with a resolution of 960 X 540. The Grand Prime features 8MB of internal storage, which seems very low, we have reached out to Sprint to see if this is correct.
For photography, you get an 8 megapixel camera on the back with a flash, as well as a 5 megapixel lens not he front. You can expand the low internal storage of the Grand Prime, thanks to a micro SD card slot. Samsung’s Ultra Power Saving Mode is built-in on the Galaxy Grand Prime and can help to stretch out the use of the 2600mAh battery.
Sprint seems to be bringing the Galaxy Grand Prime in time for the back to school season, and it very well might be a good starter Android device.
