Samsung has just announced the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge on stage at there Unpacked Event in New York City! We will be going hands-on with the devices shortly, but in the meantime let’s talk about the updates and enhancements coming tot he device. The Galaxy Note 5 represents Samsung’s core phablet device, if you can still use that term!
Samsung has finally updated the design of the Galaxy Note 5, no longer do we have plastic builds and slightly metal builds, but at last they have taken cues from the S6 and S6 Edge. The Note 5 still has a stylus and it now has a metal and glass build.
Surprisingly, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 have a lot in common. For starters they are both powered by a 3,000mAh battery and a Exynos 7420 64-bit Octa core 2.1GHz quad-core and a 1.5GHz quad-core processor with a 4GB of RAM. While the display on the Note 5, is a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED with a resolution of 2560 X 1440, it is not dual edged or even single-edged. It will come with either 32GB or 64GB of storage and also comes in Black Sapphire or White Pearl. You will find a 16 megapixel camera on the back and a 5 megapixel camera on the front. It is also running Android 5.1 Lollipop and does feature a Samsung user interface.
Stay tuned for a full review, plenty of more coverage, and our hands-on with the Galaxy Note 5 coming very soon!
