Boosted Board Full

Boosted is the maker of the prominent electric skateboards currently available. These are of course the Boosted Boards and they have just been updated; introducing the 2nd Generation Boosted Board. One thing that has not changed is the pricing structure, they are still quite expensive as they start at $1,000. But, Boosted packed water-resistant technology and components, along with a bigger battery into the 2nd Generation.

For starters, the high performance drive-train and loaded bamboo deck are still here on the latest version. There are still three models, those being the single, dual, and dual+. The biggest change comes with the battery, as they are now swappable. You can either get a standard or an extended battery, the bigger the better as it will last longer. The standard battery is 99 watt-hours for 6-7 miles of range, while the extended is 199Wh for 12-14 miles of range. But if you are going to have a long day with lots of riding, you can bring an extra battery with you know.

Boosted Board Dual

Along with the big change of larger and swappable batteries, Boosted is giving an update to the Bluetooth technology inside the board. You can now connect up to two devices, like the remote and a phone, to the Board. This is thanks to multiple Bluetooth radios being built inside. The other change is that the board is now water-resistant, allowing you to ride through puddles.

The new Boosted Boards have been announced and pre-reserves have begun, shipping should be later this summer(in about 8 weeks). The Single board comes in at 1,000, the Dual comes in at $1,299, and the Dual+ comes in at $1,499. Any of these boards can come with a larger extended battery for just another $100. If you decided to order, they are looking for a $100 deposit now and this will reserve you spot in line. You can check out Boosted Board’s website by clicking here.
