Samsung has just announced the much rumored and much-anticipated Galaxy S6 Edge+, along with the new Galaxy Note5, onstage at there Unpacked event here in New York City! We will have a full hands-on with the S6 Edge+ coming very soon, but lets run through the big brother or sister of the S6 Edge.
The Galaxy S6 Edge+ is now official and it packs a pretty similar design to that of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Luckily, they didn’t change it up too much and it is still the best looking Samsung design on the market.
The Galaxy S6 Edge+ is a power house packed device with several features and enhancements that build on the regular S6 Edge. For starters it features a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display. It has a resolution of 2560X 1440 and 518 pixels per inch, which make it pretty darn sharp. It is a dual edge screen as well. On the back you will find a 16 megapixel lens with optical image stabilization and a f/1.9 aperture. The front features a 5 megapixel camera with an aperture of f/1.9 as well. It is powered by an Exynos 7420 65bit Octa core 2.1GHz quad-core and a 1.5GHz quad-core processor with a large 4GB of RAM. It is running Android 5.1 Lollipop with a Samsung user interface, and judging by the processor it should be a pretty phenomenal experience. You can get the S6 Edge+ in either 32GB or 64GB of storage, keep in mind there is no micro SD card slot. It has a 3,000mAh battery that supports both fast charging from a wired source and a wireless source. In terms of connectivity you get WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/b/ac, as well as Bluetooth 4.0, LTE, NFC, GPS, and more. The Galaxy S6 Edge+ will be available in either Black Sapphire or Gold Platinum.
