Around a month ago in July, HTC showed off several new affordable yet premium devices, or at least that is how they put it. They had several new Desire devices going to a plethora of carriers in the United States, and there hasn’t been too much news on the subject since then. However, this silence has been broken as AT&T has announced that the HTC Desire 626 will be landing on August 21st.
On AT&T, you can get the HTC Desire 626 in a few different ways. With a 2-year contract the Desire 626 comes in at $0.99, but it will cost $6.17 a month on Next 24, $7.71 a month on Next 18, or $9.25 a month on Next 12. On Friday, August 21st, you can get the HTC Desire 626 online from att.com or in an AT&T retail store.
The Desire 626 will be come in several color options and have seamless body build. The 626 features a 5-inch 720pHD display, which will be showcasing Android 5.1 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7. It will be running on AT&T’s 4G LTE network and also has connectivity for 802.11 b/g/n WiFI, NFC, and Bluetooth 4.1.
Powering the Android experience will be a 1.1GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor with 1.5GB of RAM. You will get 16GB of internal storage, but you can expand this via a micro SD card slot. You should be able to stretch the battery to last all day via a 2000mAh battery inside. There will be an 8 megapixel camera on the back along with an LED flash and it can record video in up to 720pHD. While on the front you will find a 5 megapixel lens.
