Verizon is expanding its prepaid lineup with a new phone for the new year. The carrier has just announced that they are adding the LG Optimus Zone 3, a new prepaid Android device. This device is available now from Verizon, both in store and online, for $69.99. Verizon is saying that this device will pack a punch even though it comes in at a quite affordable price point.
The Optimus Zone 3 is the perfect upgrade too a smartphone from a feature phone. The Zone 3 also brings some solid updates to the line and beats out the previous Optimus Zone 2. It features a 4.5-inch display paired with Android 5.0 Lollipop with an LG user interface on top. It is powered by a 1.1Ghz quad-core processor with 32GB of internal storage. You will also find a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a 2 megapixel camera on the front. LG is highlighting that device has a selfie flash and gesture shot features.
This device can be paired with Verizon’s simple prepaid plans. All plans come with unlimited talk and text, but you get too chose how much data you need. For $60 a month you get 3GB, for $45 you get 1GB, and for $30 you get WiFi only access for data. Verizon is making sure they have a plan for everyone, even there prepaid customers.
