HTC has a new smartphone coming on April 12

HTC has been teasing a new smartphone for quite some time, and they might have just dropped a massive hint. They have sent out invites or rather an alert for a multi city event happening on April 12th. It is 8AM NYC, 1PM London, and 8PM Taipei. They’ve tagged the invite with “We admit it. We’re obsessed…but in a good way”, along with the #powerof10. It seems like HTC’s 2016 Flagship is incoming and it will be going head to head against the LG G5, Galaxy S7, and Galaxy S7 Edge.

The companies last event was held in the Fall at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the A10 was announced with a big concert. In fact that concert was being setup by Tidal, but there wasn’t a real partnership developed. It appears that this time around HTC will be doing an online event to show off their flagship device.

Their next flagship device is now set to be announced on April 12, it is rumored to be the HTC 10 and will build on the HTC One series. Unlike the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge and more like the G5, HTC is expected to not just update the hardware on the inside, but rather an update to the entire device.

HTC’s 10 is rumored to featured a fast Snapdragon 820 processor, a 5.15-inch HD display, and more. The company has been teasing a future device on Twitter, specifically claiming enhancements to audio. HTC is also saying it will have the cameras on the front and back will be world-class.

It will be very interesting to see what HTC has in store, will it be enough to take on the other latest and great Android devices? We will find out on April 12th 2016!
