While Samsung did not announce the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus at the 2017 Mobile World Congress, they did unveil the Galaxy Tab S3, Galaxy Book 10, and Galaxy Book 12. Moreover, a few long weeks down the line, we finally have a launch date for the Book 10 and Book 12. Samsung’s new Windows 2-in-1’s will be landing on May 21st from Samsung’s online store and select retailers.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy Book 10 and Galaxy Book 12 will start tomorrow, April 21st. The Book 10 starts at $629, and the Book 12 will start at $1,129. It should be noted that these prices are for the WiFi variants, Verizon will be offering an LTE version of the Book 12 for $1,299. All of these come will in silver and that model can be found at all retailers, but BesBuy will have these tablets available exclusively in Black.
The Galaxy Book 10.6 and 12 are running Windows 10 with some exclusive Samsung applications onboard. With the included keyboard case and S Pen, you can easily move from a tablet to a notebook working environment. The Galaxy Book 10.6-inch has a 1920 X 1080 TFT display and is powered by a 2.6GHz dual-core Intel Core m3 processor. You also get 4GB of RAM with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. The back features a 5-megapixel camera, and a 30.4-watt battery is inside. Samsung has opted for USB-C as the main port, and micro SD card slot is onboard for expandable storage.
The Galaxy Book 12-inch has a 2160 X 1440 Super AMOLED display. It has Windows 10 installed and is powered by a 3.1GHz dual-core 7th Generation Intel Core i5 processor. It comes with either 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD or 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. There are also two USB Type-C ports on the 12-inch variant. You also get a slightly larger 39.04-Watt battery inside.
