There has a been a rumored 10.5-inch iPad for many months, and today at WWDC 2017, Apple officially unveiled the 10.5-inch iPad Pro. Which is similar to the new Galaxy S8, as has a nearly bezel-less display. To be more exact, it reduces the borders by almost 40 percent to fit itself into a smaller package. And yes, come September the 10.5-inch iPad Pro will be getting an update to iOS 11 to bring it a plethora of a new “Pro” features.
For starters, you get a 10.5-inch 2224 X 1668 resolution Retina display with 264 pixels per inch. This display features Pro Motion, a Wide Color Gamut, and True Tone technology inside. Pro Motion is a big deal in this long list of features as it ensures a display refresh rate of 120hz which makes for a stunning and sleek picture. Powering the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro is a 64-bit A10X Fusion chip with an M10 coprocessor embedded. This new chip is faster than the processing units found in most computers and should make a for a very speedy and fluid experience.
The back features a 12-megapixel lens with optical image stabilization, while the front gets a 7-megapixel FaceTime camera. Apple’s original 12.9-inch iPad Pro and secondary 9.7-inch iPad Pro both feature a booming four speaker setup, and that is onboard the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro. Inside this new iPad, Pro is a 31-watt battery that should provide 10 hours of battery life.
Apple’s new 10.5-inch iPad Pro is available for order today and comes in 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB sizes. You can also get the newest iPad Pro in your choice of Silver, Gold, Space Grey, or Rose Gold. It will also be available in both WiFi and LTE versions, while the 64GB WiFi variant will go for $699. So far, both T-Mobile and Verizon have confirmed that they will eventually offer the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro.
