Apple updates the 12.9-inch iPad Pro with a faster processor and more

You still can’t get the 12.9-inch iPad Pro in Rose Gold, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t get some solid updates. And finally, the iPad Pro line up is equal is across both the 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch models. You can find the full details on the 10.5-inch iPad Pro here, but the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at $799 for the 64GB WiFi model.

For starters the 12.9-inch iPad Pro still packs a 2732 X 2048 display with 264 pixels per inch. But it now features ProMotion technology which enables a refresh rate of 120hz and True Tone technology is built-in as well. It is powered by the impressive A10X 64-Bit processor with an M10 coprocessor embedded.

There is now a 12-megapixel lens on the back with a ƒ/1.8 aperture, optical image stabilization, and an LED flash. The front of the large iPad Pro now has the 7-megapixel FaceTime HD camera as well. You still get the four speaker and dual microphone setup. It also has the second generation Touch ID sensor, which enables faster unlocking.

The updated 12.9-inch iPad Pro comes in 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB variant. It also comes in your choice of Gold, Silver, or Space Grey. It will be available in both WiFi and LTE models, while the base 64GB WiFi model comes in at $799 and the 64GB LTE model comes in at $929.
