Need for Speed has certainly had an interesting reboot since it relaunched in tune with the next generation consoles a few years back. The result is a game that is more focused on a heavy story mode that is filled with drama, fast paced missions, and plenty of heists. It is eerily similar to a Grand Theft Auto style, but minus the massive violence tones.
It might be better off being compared to Fast and Furious and other Hollywood blockbusters. On stage at EA Play 2017, we learned a bit more about the title and one of the missions, in which a heist of a sports car off of a carrier does not go as planned. This quick reel of gameplay that was shown off identifies key improvements to the overall mechanics and the graphics.
You can see the full gameplay trailer below and get introduced to the three characters. You will intuitively be switched to play as one of these three within the gameplay, which is a definitely a unique twist. Need for Speed Payback lands on November 10th for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
