Today Apple announced the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, both of which feature a glass back, wireless charging capabilities, new sensors, and a Tru Tone display. A more in depth look can be found here. Pre-orders open up on September 15th and will be available on the 22nd at $699 for the 8 and $799 for the 8 Plus.
Probably the biggest surprise was the iPhone X, which has a boat load of new features. A new camera system, an improved touch system, a more durable glass frame, wireless charging, facial recognition, Animojis (Emojis which are animated based on facial movements), and a screen which encompasses the entire front of the phone. Apple also announced the Apple Watch 3, which improves on many of the features of the series 2 watches, adds some new ones, and is only two sheets of paper thicker that the previous model. Cellular connectivity as well as cellular LTE are among the biggest features. Retailing at $399 and $329 without the cellular features, the Apple Watch 3 will be available for pre-orders on September 15th and will ship on September 22nd. More info can be found here.
Finally, the new Apple TV was revealed to have 4K HDR with no additional cost. Movies that customers already own will be upscaled to 4K at no additional cost as well. This new Apple TV will also be sold in seven additional countries. Pre-orders will open on September 15th and will be coming out on September 22nd, with a retail price of $179.
