Need For Speed Most Wanted Hands-On
Yesterday at an EA Event I got to check out Need For Speed Most Wanted! This is remake of the classic Need for Speed game and it is being developed by Criterion. I got to check out the single player mode, and in the case what began as a race ended with me trying to escape the police. Now, for starters the graphics was insane. They have made a huge improvement in the graphics, and this makes it much more life-like. You can tell this from the environment of the game, reelection of the sun, and of course the shadows. You can also tell that they put a lot of hard work in to the vehicles. One thing is that if you are going fast enough and you crash into a wall, you will “burnout”. So, they have improved the physics of the game and this makes it much more realistic. One nice thing is that you are respawned right from your last checkpoint. This way you don’t have restart the entire race or challenge over again. I found this to be a nice feature and I have a feeling that it will be very popular. Handling while driving, really depends on the car. In a race you are trying to win, so you can take shortcuts on the track, hit into your opponents, or some other options. When the cops come in, they are going to try to stop you at all measures. They will hit into you, bump in to your bumper, sideswiped, and much more. Let’s say there is a roadblock ahead, why go around when you can crash right into it and get a higher score. In the end it will help you achieve your goal of number 1(#1) on the most wanted list. So, you want to cause as much destruction as possible, but make sure that you can still evade the police. This is just a quick hands-on with the new Need For Speed Most Wanted. This is a game that you most certainly have to experience in person, but the worst part is that the game does not drop until October 30, 2012. Below you can see the gallery and the trailer below!
