Verizon Wireless has just announced a great new initiative. “Let’s TAB It Out Together” is a new program that wants you to Think, Act, and Be Green by using paperless billing and e-receipts. They will offer device trade-ins and phone recycling as well. Verizon is reinforcing their commitment to being green and using sustainable solutions. They are leading the way by switching in store brochures to electronic ones, and enabling e-receipts in store. These receipts will go straight to the “MyVerizonMobile” application on their smartphone. If you use Verizon Green Billing you can view your billing and account information online via a secure site and this way your account statements and in store receipts will now be linked. Starting today and going through April 22, 2013 Verizon is launching an in store contest. This will be the Go Green With Verizon contest. Customers who participate in the Verizon Wireless Trade-In Program, sign up for paperless billing, opting for e-receipts or a Hopeline donation at a participating store will be entered to win a brand new Belkin WeMo Switch! This awesome piece of technology is the easiest way to get some home automation in to your home. It will turn your smartphone into an easy to use remote that can turn on or off electronics devices from anywhere. You can even set up a schedule for when it should be turned on or off. Verizon will be giving away 5(five) Belkin WeMo switches in bi-weekly drawings starting on February 25. The 15 stores participating in this program are the Bridgewater, Staten Island(at the Pergament Mall), Woodbridge, Manalapan, Succasunna, Hoboken, Hartsdale, Bryant Park, Bay Plaza, Lawrence, Massapequa, Huntington Station, Madison Avenue, Hicksville, and 69th Street Verizon Wireless Stores. All 15 of these stores are located in the New York Metro Region and each of these stores will be going GREEN. Each store will be getting an artificial White Birch tree and a Verizon Wireless GREEN guru and this will emphasize their new initiative. For more information please see the press release below!
