Today Jacob Krol of NJTechReviews has the unboxing and first impressions of the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10! This is new family of products from Lenovo was just announced. The Yoga Tablet 10 will be available tomorrow, October 30 2013, for $299.99 and will be sold from BestBuy, Amazon.com, Lenovo, and many other retailers. Now, let’s dive into our first impressions of the device!

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 is the bigger brother or sister to the Yoga Tablet 8. Like that device, it is unlike any other tablet currently on the market. No longer does a tablet have to be all flat, Lenovo is shaking up this design and proving that it works. Having the cylindrical handle adds to the design of the device and makes it much easier to use. Holding it at the handle allows for you to use one hand to operate and it is very natural feeling. As expected the Yoga Tablet 10 is heavier than the 8-inch version, this one comes in at 1.33-pounds. Compared to other tablets currently on the market, it is pretty light. However, you can tell a difference between the 10-inch and the 8-inch Yoga Tablets. The design for the most part is identical on both devices. The left hand side is home to the micro USB port, power/sleep button, 5 megapixel back camera(on the handle) and 1.6 megapixel front camera. Behind the kickstand is where you can find your micro SD card slot. Under the screen on the handle you will find the dual front facing speakers. Lastly, the right hand side has your volume rocker and headphone jack. You still have the nice silver color and a slightly textured back.

The biggest difference between the two Yoga Tablets is the size of the display. You get a 10-inch 1280 X 800 HD IPS display with 178-degree viewing angles on the Yoga Tablet 10. Colors look just as vibrant and the display overall is very bright and eye-popping. Another common theme or similarity between the two devices would be the speed, using Android 4.2 JellyBean with Lenovo’s customizations is very fast. The 1.2GHz quad core processor with 1GB of RAM is doing an extremely good job of powering the device. This is definitely one of the fastest tablets, I have ever reviewed.

This has been a quick unboxing and first impressions of the brand new Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10! Comment below and let me know if there is anything specifically you will like me to cover in my full review, which is coming soon! You can see my unboxing video of the Yoga Tablet 10 below!
