Verizon Continues Their Commitment To The NY Metro Region!

Verizon-Wireless-4G-LTE

Verizon Wireless has always strived to enhance all of their networks, whether it be voice or data. During Hurricane Sandy, Verizon was on the scene to make sure the network remained strong. Then fast forward to NJ/NY Superbowl they built the infrastructure to handle millions of text messages and a ton of data being used. When 4G LTE was first launched, in 2010, the NY Metro region was a priority market. Verizon has come a long way, but they have never forgotten about their customers or this beloved region.

Earlier today RootMetrics released their latest National RootScore Study and Verizon came out on top. For many states and as the Overall Performance Award Winner in the national study. Thus beating out Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T nationally. Then specifically in the great state of New Jersey they got top awards for data, speed and reliability. They received many of these across other states as well. Verizon didn’t get this award by mistaken, they have proven their commitment. In 2013 alone, Verizon invested $9.4 Billion nationally in its networks. The reliability that they have always been known for, is a staple and is not one that will be going away any time soon.

Flashing back to December of 2013, just a few short months ago, Verizon won the RootMetrics awards specific for the New York Metro Region. Coming out on top for data performance and combined network performance. Even though Verizon lead the way with 4G LTE, they are still taking care of the 3G network.

Verizon is working to keep its reliability and speed, so in 2013 they launched their AWS Spectrum. Many devices like the upcoming Galaxy S 5 from Samsung will support this new spectrum. This new spectrum not only brings faster speeds to the already lightning fast 4G LTE network, but it adds to data capacity to keep up with the demand. In New York City they already have more than 5,000 cell sites. Verizon would have likely gotten faster speeds in the December 2013 test, but RootMetrics was not yet taking account the AWS Spectrum.

By offering many different plans, Verizon can work with each customer. They certainly do not believe that one plans fits all, they offer MORE Everything for those looking for a contract carrier and the brand new ALLSET Plans for a pre-paid, no contract carrier. These new no contract plans, feature data that doesn’t go to waste, meaning that it rolls over into the next month. Verizon continues this mindset by offering many different devices, from basic phones to feature phones, and of course to the latest and greatest smartphones.

In the end remember that Verizon shows their commitment and RootMetrics is confirming it. They want all of their customers to come and enjoy the speed and reliability that they are known for. I’m sure that this is just the beginning for Verizon, we certainly have a lot to look forward from the carrier.
