Verizon Wireless currently has a two-week retail exclusive for the HTC One, but they have not forgotten about the Galaxy S 5. Which is Samsung’s flagship device for 2014. AT&T, along with the other carriers, have already launched pre-orders for the device. Verizon customers, as of this morning, can now pre-order the Galaxy S 5.
It will be shipping by April 11th, which might mean it could launch in stores on the 11th as well. Verizon Wireless will be selling the Galaxy S 5 for $249.99 with a 2-year contract, but this turns into $199.99 price point after a $50 mail in rebate with contract. They will be offering the device in your choice of either Charcoal Black or Shimmery White. To sweeten the deal even more, Verizon Wireless will be offering a Buy One Get One Free deal. Meaning that if you purchase one Galaxy S 5 on contract Verizon, you can get a Galaxy S 5, a Samsung ATIV SE, or a HTC One M8 for free with contract. This is an awesome deal, similar to the one they are currently offering for the HTC One M8, no word on how long this deal will last.
The S 5 on Verizon will give you access to their lightning fast 4G LTE network. The Galaxy S 5 will feature a 16 megapixel back camera, a 5-inch FHD Super AMOLED Display, 2.5GHz Quad core application processor, Android 4.4 Kit Kat with a Samsung user interface, 4G LTE, and more.
