MINI USA has just announced the all new 2015 MINI Countryman and it will have its official premiere at the 2014 New York International Auto Show. The Countryman is MINI’s second best-selling vehicle and has done quite well so far, and while this isn’t a giant upgrade and refresh to the model, it does provide some nice new features.

The 2015 Mini Countryman features three new color options, those being Jungle Green metallic, Midnight Grey metallic, and Starlight Blue metallic. It is nice to see some of MINI most popular color options expanding to the Countryman, which is the largest of their current models. It feature four doors, a tailgate, five seats, and more. There have also been some design changes that showcase, both model-specific and hallmark brand elements. An example of this is a new structure for the hexagonal radiator grill and this gets paired with some other new paint finishes.

Giving the 2015 MINI Countryman a new rugged look and increased agility, are the new 17-inch light alloy wheels. They come in two color options and are paired with new LED Fog Lights with parking and daytime driving lights in LED. Not only does it provide a brighter more intense light, but they are more efficient.

MINI has updated the infotainment system in the 2015 Countryman as well. You will be getting a multifunction steering wheel with cruise control, automatic climate control, and rain sensor. This will make the options easy to access while driving and means you won’t have to be distracted by looking at the display. The speaker system is made up of a CD player with MP3 support, a USB port, and five speakers. If you choose to you can upgrade or add on Park Distance Control (PDC), MINI navigation system, voice control, and Harman Kardon hi-fi speaker system. The new system itself now works with a very broad array of smartphones and several applications can run natively on the infotainment system. Many of these web services are already built-into the system like Facebook, TuneIn Radio, Pandora, Audible, Foursquare, and many others.

All in all the new 2015 MINI Countryman is shaping up to be a nice refresh for the largest vehicle in their lineup. The new infotainment system, new paint colors, LED headlight, and new wheels is just a few of the new features. The all-wheel drive system ALL4 is back and new extensive safety features are in store as well. The  MINI Cooper S ALL4 is their most popular Countryman model and it is nice to see them brining back the ALL4 system to the 2015 model. The 2015 MINI Countryman will be landing this coming summer.
