Last month AT&T celebrated it’s one year anniversary of Digital Life, their home security and home automation service. In that year they reached 75 markets of Digital Life and achieved the industry’s highest certification for call centers twice. On this coming Friday, May 23rd 2014, they will be adding another six markets to add to the list. This brings the total up to 81 markets and the new ones are Beaumont, Texas, Omaha, N.E., Toledo, Ohio, Greenville, S.C., Cape Coral, FL. and Oxnard, California.
Along with the new markets, AT&T isn’t forgetting about the existing customers. In order to thank the existing Digital Life customers, they are offering 50% off the standard equipment cost when they add the door, energy or water automation packages. Along with this offer, AT&T is adding a new option for Home Automation. This new option is a garage door controller. The controller itself will let you raise and lower the door, but it can be controlled from the Digital Life app, from a smartphone, tablet or computer as well. The controller itself will cost $49.99, but it requires a customer to add the $4.99/month door package to Smart Security ($39.99/month).
