AT&T Opens Up Pre-Orders For The New Moto X On September 16!

AT&T has just announced that it will be starting pre-orders for the second generation Moto X on September 16th! It is expected to be fully available for purchase in stores and online on September 26th. If you pre-order on the device on the 16th, it will begin shopping on the 23rd of september! The Moto X in Resin Black will retail for only $99.99 with contract, $21.96 per month on AT&T Next 18, $26.35 per month on AT&T Next 12, or for $526.99 with no contract. With the customizable Bamboo or Leather backs, the Moto X will be priced at $119.99 with contract, $22.80 per month on AT&T Next 18, $27.35 per month on AT&T Next 12, or for $549.99 with non contract. AT&T will be kicking off pre-orders for the new Moto X on September 16th from  www.att.com/motox.

The Moto X on AT&T will be running on their super fast and nationwide 4G LTE network, plus AT&T has a 4G HSPA+ backbone. The new Moto X features a larger 5.2-inch 1080p display, along with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Plus, it still has the very natural feel to the device and it is quite comfortable in the hand. There are new materials in Moto Maker like Horween leather and FSC-certified woods.

The Moto X now features a 5.2-inch 1080pHD display, the original Moto X had a 720p. In fact it is 1080p OLED display with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. It is being powered by a 2.5GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM. The base model will come with 16GB of internal storage, but via Motomaker you can 32GB of internal storage. And you also have a 2300mAh battery inside to give you what should be an even better battery life experience than on the original. The rear camera is now a 13 megapixel lens, with a flash that is a ring around the actual lens, plus on the front you get a 2 megapixel lens for selfies. You still get the pure Android experience on the Moto X, it is running Android 4.4.2 and Motorola has promised an update to Android L when it drops. Do you remember “OK Google”, well now you can make your own custom prompt, like “What’s Up Moto X” or give it a real name. There is also built-in compatibility with Whats App, Facebook, YouTube, and many other applications. It will still learn from you, so in the car it will know to be hands free or at night it will know to be silent.
