We here at NJTechReviews feel in love with the YOGA Tablet, which was a really unique spin on tablets and Lenovo was really the first to recreate the design of one. Today, at Lenovo’s London event with their product engineer Ashton Kutcher, they have unleashed the YOGA Tablet 2! But now, no longer is the device limited to Android, but it now comes in a Windows flavor! You can get an Android or Windows YOGA Tablet 2 in an 8-inch or 10-inch size. Not only are there two operating systems to choose from, but new design and hardware features are in store.

The YOGA tablets have always been multimode devices, but with YOGA Tablet 2 we get a new mode. Hold, Tilt and Stand are still here, but now we also get Hang. This is an all new hands-free mode, which will allow you to hang the device and use it. The Kickstand is back and is better than ever, it has been redesigned and is more durable. The Android model is available in platinum silver, while the Windows model is available in ebony black. Overall, the design will be similar to those who have used the original YOGA Tablets.

In terms of hardware, both the Windows and Android version got a well deserved bump in this area. They are powered by a 1.86GHz 4 core Intel Atom processor, which is paired with 2GB of RAM. The Android model is running 4.4 KitKat and has 16GB of internal storage, while the Windows model has Windows 8.1 and 32GB of internal storage. Plus, the Windows model comes with a one year Microsoft Office 365 subscription. Both variants can support a micro SD card via the built-in slot. Either a 8-inch or 10-inch 1920 X 1200 IPS display is on board with 178 degrees wide viewing angle. For photos, selfies, and video calling are 1.6 megapixel camera is on the front and an 8 megapixel camera is on the back. Like on the original model, there are two front facing speakers with Dolby Audio and Wolfson Master HiFi technology for a clear experience. The Android model can get 18 hours of battery life, while the Windows variant gets 15 hours.

Overall, the YOGA Tablet 2 lineup is strong and builds upon the great original models. The unique multimode design and great battery life are still in store. Lenovo is now giving you the option of either Windows or Android, but they provide a well-rounded experience with either. The Android YOGA Tablet 2’s in 8-inch and 10-inch variants are available today! The 8-inch model will retail for $249.99, while the 10-inch model comes in at $299.99. The 10-inch Windows YOGA Tablet 2 will be available by the end of October and will cost $399.99 from BestBuy. The 8-inch Windows YOGA Tablet 2 variant will be available in November from Lenovo for $299.99. You can see a full gallery below and stay tuned for our full reviews!
