RootMetrics has put out it’s latest ratings, for those who don’t know they are a third-party network tester. For many years they have been providing insight into network performance about the big four carriers. They don’t just do the entire country, but they do breakdowns by areas and individual states. They just issued there this National RootScore Report and Verizon Wireless was quite high on the outcomes of network performance throughout the country. But for the third time Verizon Wireless came out on top in New Jersey, as they won the Overall RootScore award for the state.
Verizon also received top marks in New Jersey specifically for Speed and Data performance, as well as Reliability. In New Jersey Verizon operates a state of the art 4G LTE network, which feature XLTE for a faster connection thanks to the AWS spectrum. The new Advanced Wireless Services(AWS) spectrum provides more capacity, and with this comes faster speeds for everyone on the network. Andrew Testa, the PR manager for Verizon Wireless in the New York Metro Region, said “It’s an honor to be recognized by RootMetrics for the third consecutive Overall RootScore award,” along with being very proud of how the network performs here. Press Release
VERIZON WIRELESS EARNS TOP ROOTMETRICS® RANKING FOR OVERALL NETWORK PERFORMANCE IN NEW JERSEY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 10, 2015 (Trenton, NJ) — Verizon Wireless was the overwhelming network performance leader in the rankings of four national wireless providers in the United States in the thirdNational RootScore® Report, issued today by Seattle-based RootMetrics®.
Among the four major wireless carriers, Verizon won the Overall RootScore award in the state of New Jersey for the third consecutive time. Verizon also earned top scores in New Jersey in Speed and Data Performance, as well as sharing the top spot in Reliability for the third consecutive testing period.
RootMetrics, an independent mobile analytics firm, drove thousands of miles throughout the Pennsylvania area, as well as testing many indoor locations. The company said its national study was designed to portray the consumer mobile network performance experience at a national and state level, beyond their metro-specific reports. Each RootScore is calculated from a combination of tests that are weighted to reflect the impact that a consumer would experience. Scores were based on RootMetrics testing performed in the second half of 2014 (July-December). The company ranked the four major U.S. wireless providers in six network performance categories: Overall, Reliability, Speed, Data, Call and Text.
“We are very proud of our network and the way it performs in New York, specifically,” said Andrew Testa, PR Manager, Verizon Wireless, New York Metro Region. “It’s an honor to be recognized by RootMetrics for the third consecutive Overall RootScore award.”
Verizon operates the nation’s largest and most reliable 4G LTE network. In New Jersey, the company has rolled out its latest XLTE network technology in several markets. XLTE utilizes Verizon’s AWS (Advanced Wireless Services) spectrum to double 4G LTE network capacity. Greater capacity means more customers at once can send photos, download videos, surf the internet and more at peak speeds on their smartphones, tablets and other devices.
