AT&T has just announced that they will be making calling and texting to Nepal free, after the recent devastating earthquake. They will be waving both calling and texting charges from the U.S., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands to Nepal from April 25, 2015 through May 16, 2015. AT&T hopes that customers will be able to connect with family and friends in the region as soon as possible. This charge waive and fee waive is for both AT&T postpaid and GoPhone prepaid wireless customers, as well as any direct dial calls made by our wire line and U-verse voice customers.
The carrier has also shared several charities that customers can choose to donate too in an effort to assist those in need. Customers can easily donate via text and the donation will appear on their monthly bill. You can see the list of charities from AT&T listed below.
